I unironically enjoyed Kingdom Heartache as one of the best features on this site. One of Ben's finest achievements and I was actually kind of sad when it ended.

27 hours played so far and highest loop I've got is 86...

Something very frustrating though is that no matter how geared you are you WILL die. My 86 loop was just vs slimes and guess what killed me?

75 percent evade, 500 percent attack speed, damage of like 250-350 weapons and it didnt matter a slime still killed me

Blue Meanie looks almost like the jeff forstmann cartoon image they use every now and then. It's kinda uncanny how much it looks like it. Obviously not like his real life but the avatar sometimes used here to portray him.

I have to say a lot of this looks real cool but you never once would see Press [E] everytime you approach something in any game like pre 2010. I wanna try this but I'm 20 hours into cyberpunk and still haven't even made it 10 percent into the game. I dont think anything will ever be the same after playing that game. I owe it to myself to try being one of the biggest old school fps fans out there. Dusk was a huge disappointment and Wrath even moreso.

"Cyberpunk 2077 has easily surpassed every video game made before it in my eyes,

I'm 4 hours in and haven't even done the first quest"

Duuuude.

Wouldn't it be nice to feel such joy? Imagine a world where that is possible. Do I need to talk about my video game history so you can get some sort of understanding where this type of statement can come from? Born before the NES, and lived during the golden age of video games. I've played more video games than most people and don't really need to talk about the 15 years of EverQuest and WoW raiding or anything to TRULY determine how big of a loser you are dealing with here.

You aren't going to "gotcha" me with any of these statements. I also don't need someone to tell me I don't like something as much as I do. There is no way, ABSOLUTELY NO WAY you could convince me of a better gaming experience for ME. The game has a lot of problems and I am not oblivious to what others are experiencing but for myself, I have no problem telling you that I love this experience right now more than I've ever loved a video game experience. I have never felt such joy playing a video game. No game has made me feel like this. Nothing.

I've played almost every single PC FPS, RPG, immersive sim, action game, open world game and at this point I don't "feel" much from games - this game makes me feel.

I've seen enough to know that feeling is not going to pass. I've spent literally 3 hours walking around Night City just looking at the changing signs, lights, and enjoying the atmosphere.

This game is home for me.

If you really want to give people a hard time for liking something, be my guest, just leave us mentally ill out of it (I was called this earlier on this very forum for saying I can't wait for this game).

I also pointed out that I nearly died this year and had to get multiple surgeries and it has been hard for me to have anything to look forward to in years, but that didn't matter. I was still attacked for liking the game. I wish Giant Bomb could do something about this negativity in the community, it just is pushing everyone away from here looking for positive video game discussion elsewhere.

@topcyclist: I'm playing cyberpunk 2077 the game that has a metacritic of 90 that will go down as one of the greatest games of all time and has been given a 10 by multiple review outlets.

I just spent an hour driving around on a motorcycle, doing the coolest side missions I've seen in like any game, and engaged in some of the most enjoyable first person shooting and stealth I've ever played. Every moment of this game feels other worldly.

I wish I could show the world what I'm feeling. I'll never even consider another game made before this in the same category. This is just truly next level, and its unbelievable people aren't able to see how revolutionary this video game experience truly is.

Diablo 4 and hitman 3 are the only games I'm looking forward to but honestly even now all I care about and want is more cyberpunk content.

@colourful_hippie: my post was misleading my screenshot was supposed to say dlss on for the screenshots and my fps actually goes lower than 25-27 in main city parts with dlss off but with it on I maintain 60 by some miracle.

I'm on a i7 8700k, corsair 64 gb vengeance DDR4, RTX 3080

I'm not using dynamic resolution just the dlss too so this optimization is on another level to be able to push 4k 60 with what's all going on. I would take more screenshots to show the 100s of people walking around at 2 in the morning since people still think this game is empty (lol)...I cant even follow someone and bludgeon them to death without anyone else seeing. This game is packed to the gills with npcs.

Also this is the best a handgun has ever felt in a game. When an enemy comes walking around a corner towards you and you miss the grab and unload 10 bullets into someone at point blank oh god its satisfying.

I dont even know how to contain myself at this point. My only complaint is this game is way too short if you can finish it all in 60 hours. Seeing the dev with 175 hour playthrough is making me hope there is just more people haven't discovered. I'm 4 hours in and haven't even done the first quest been too busy helping the NCPD take out perps.

Cyberpunk 2077 has easily surpassed every video game made before it in my eyes, I cant dream of wanting to play any other games I already own ever again when given the choice of what to play.

Why would I not want to be elated and mesmerized every second? I can just soak in the atmosphere and lights.

I had 60 hours into valhalla and I didnt see how that could be topped but they did it. I also never saw myself stopping that game anytime soon but last night I uninstalled it because theres just no damn way I'm playing anything else for a while now.

It's a shame some people are finding it buggy. Main bug I have is not being able to pick up certain items in the world...that's it besides a few npcs randomly appearing while walking.

Time to go play another 10 hours today.

Well, so far this is pretty much the best gaming experience I've ever had in my life. Completely living up to all the hype I had for the game times 1000...just unbelievable and I can't wait to see how they expand the game with patches and additional DLC. And mod support. Oh please give us mod support.

Anyways, I'm getting 60 FPS at 4k ray tracing 'psycho' (max) film grain off (because its bad) and DLSS set to "quality" if I change DLSS to off my FPS drops to around 25-27ish. Comparing the two well you just can't really because you aren't losing any texture data with DLSS off, and with DLSS on you are losing texture data since it's essentially using AI mip mapping.

This game is just a visual masterpiece. An absolute feast on the eyes. I can't believe it. My heart races every second I play this game. The animations, the lighting, the environmental design, the level of detail, the sound effects, the impact of the weapons, the grittiness of the city, the absolute majesty of everything wrapped up into this beautiful amazing game Cyberpunk 2077.

I don't see how this game will be topped, but I can't wait to see a developer try. Wow.

I really don't know what the reviews are saying bout this game not having any systems, or needing to use the items you find. I guess they were not playing on Hard. I would recommend first tip play the game on Hard. Also if you are playing on PC press caps lock instead of tab to use the sensor.

Here are two pics just to show the lighting with psycho ray tracing and dlss off. The DLSS technology is out of this world to be able to make the RTX accessible on current pcs. There is going to be very few machines that can run this game at psycho with DLSS off. I'm only on a 8700k so that is my main bottleneck.

I am probably one of the biggest Cyberpunk 2077 fans in the known universe

If you're a fan of a thing that you haven't used (and which isn't even out yet?) I'd say you're a fan of the thing's marketing, not the thing.

Nope, I've followed the game's development for 8 years, consumed every single screenshot, video, and scrap of information I can find about this game in the hope that one day I will finally get to witness what the company's vision they have worked so hard to achieve. I've sat wide eyed staring at the beautiful world they have created and watched in wonder as more of the pieces of the puzzle began to be formed. I have faith in them that they will be able to bring us their ultimate vision, it may take some time.

In the 8 years since this game has been announced my life has been pure hell dealing with a chronic health disease and requiring non stop medical care and this year alone 20+ days in the hospital and 5 surgeries (2 in the past month alone, still recovering from the one on Thursday!). In those years I have had something, anything to give me hope to move forward. There was always something to look forward to but nothing to ultimately look forward to. The singular thread from these past 8 years is that a lot of those things I looked forward to have fallen away and there isn't much left to look forward to in my life, at my age, and in my condition. I nearly died a week ago. I've waited for Cyberpunk 2077 for 8 years. If anyone wants to take that away from me, you won't.

My entire sole life's passion has been enjoying games on the cutting edge of graphics and witnessing what is capable with the newer technology. I still recall where my life was when I first saw dynamic shadows in Unreal, and colored lighting in Quake 2. Watching id software create new engines over the years and Epic side by side as well has always been how I choose to spend my time. Following the video game industry, and how these magnificent developers are capable of creating products never imagined before. Every time technology has progressed we have witnessed a whole new era of what is capable and that is one of the most exciting things to me. It is what I wake up for at the end of the day, is to see beautiful video game graphics and see what we are capable of creating and advancing as not just a community of gamers/developers, but as a human race. I know where my place is at in the world. I am not welcomed into society because of my health problems, so I stray away from people and humanity. This is what I do. I play video games. It is where I invest my time.

They've shown me a world I want to invest my time into.

Not the marketing.

The developers.

I am probably one of the biggest Cyberpunk 2077 fans in the known universe and my heart is racing waiting these final 47 hours until we can finally play the game. I can accept the game is buggy, just like the rest of the world CDPR probably didn't anticipate a year filled with so much turmoil for their employees to be able to complete the game using the new landscape that was placed before them.

The patches (and let us hope that day one patch applies to the PC as well) and additions to this game that is now CDPR's baby are just going to continue to get better and better. They want us to become part of this world and they are invested in it. The good faith of their company to provide every patch and DLC free of charge has made me truly appreciate them and I imagine their hearts will sink if the word day one is this is a buggy mess. I don't know what the answer will be, but I love hearing the impressions of all the reviewers currently and can't wait to form my own opinion.

Hard difficulty Female Corpo - laser katana specialization, shotguns, pistols, possibly assault rifles - stealth? What's that? Everyone who has expended their use will find themselves flying across the room from a shotgun blast to the chest, because I don't wanna get backstabbed.

It sounds like we are in for a ride though at least for a while with the way the game is being discussed. It doesn't sound ready. Me? I am ready. Let's go.
