As of lately, me and my roommates have really began to get back into Rock Band 2.  I guess it couldn't have came at a better time because now I'm stoked for Rock Band 3.  I'm also pretty excited about playing Halo: Reach whenever I get the time.  Also, I'm slowly but surely beating Far Cry 2.  I actually don't personally know anyone who has beaten that game, so I'm wanting to see what it's like.

Since I found out RB3 was coming out in a month and a bit, I've been playing RB2 again. It's probably bad, cause it creates hype for the game (and therefore potential disappointment), but who cares.

I take it they're not going to release a new set of peripherals with this game?  I imagine I'd of already seen stories on that given that the game is nearly a month away.

Oh they are. I saw pictures of a new drum kit, with three cymbals. Also, the pro mode guitars, the one with a fuckton of buttons and the one with real strings. 
And obviously, the new keyboard peripheral, the only one I'm buying.
