So this isn't a sim-racing game, correct? The fact that they didn't show off real life circuits leads me to believe it's more in the style of a more realistic Need for Speed.

I see some people comparing it to Forza Horizon, but I never really played it. Did they tone down the simulation aspect in Horizon, or was it just an open world Forza game?

@mooseymcman: Plus, you know, Kiefer Sutherland is probably way more expensive to have in the studio than the voice of Kaz.

Either way, I've warmed up to Kiefer voicing Big Boss. I think the voice is good and fits the character, but the facial work is really doing it for me. Having just played through 4 a month ago, all the cheesy awkward stares and bad dialog was really noticeable. Ground Zero, while short on story content, came off as being way more natural and genuine feeling.

Am I the only one that thought this was a horror game up until the credits rolled? I was terrified the whole time I played that game. The atmosphere and hints of supernatural elements had me on edge the whole time, to the point that I had to hype myself up into going into the attic. I'd avoided all discussion of the game so I went in unsure of what the game was going in. But I couldn't help but feel a bit disappointed after pushing through the whole game, terrified, only to find it end the way it did.

@fancysoapsman: Damn, you liked Dark Souls so much that you put it on your list twice. I can respect this.

Does this include like an iPhone on airplane mode or an MP3 player? Because I'm tired of having to discreetly listen to music during takeoff/landing.

The menus have been completely overhauled and are condensed into one main screen from whence you can go anywhere. The big change is that the game is FAST now. Everything loads much quicker and has been condensed. You can also make a setlist of songs and just play one after another instead of having to back out each time

Thank god. The first one was so slow to get between songs.

@marokai: I don't think he's arguing against that. That's pretty common knowledge for most. I think what he's saying is by only worrying about cranking resolutions up as high as possible, you might be using up more horsepower that could be potentially used for other graphical techniques that could make the game look even more realistic at a lower resolution. Also, a lot of the techniques begin to become a lot more costly at higher resolutions since the technique has to be applied to more pixels on screen. So basically it's a trade off. Do you want a crisper looking game at say 1080p with static lighting and physics or a game with more realistic lighting and physics effects at 720p? It's a valid point.

I'm starting to feel the same way. I'm a level 18 lancer and the combat kinda drags on. When soloing, you're really only using a 2 attack rotation at my level and the 2.5 second global cooldown makes it a bit dull. Also, I don't like how you typically only end up with like 2-3 quest at a time. I like in WoW how I could gather up like 7-10 quest in an area, go out do them, and then come back and turn them in. Here it just feels like there is too much talking to quest givers/returning quest. Go out and kill 4 of these guys and collect 2 of those and then return. Plus, every quest givers tend to have so much dialog for a simple quest. I want to read it so that I can get a better grasp on the lore and what's going on in that area, but it tends to be a bit of a chore.

Edit: Also, the map is terrible.
