Ben, thanks for being fun and silly. I hope you still do some things semi-public whenever it suits you. You are leaving big shoes that I'm sure can't be filled unless they find someone equally as tall or someone smaller but with potentially humongous feet.

I just got the game a few days ago on the Epic Games store sale they have going on for the VIP edition. So far I am about 2/3 through the campaign and haven't done much else with the game, but I'm enjoying it a lot. The weekly events seem like an interesting way to keep the game engaging and music passes will help to some extent. If you're able to get it on sale it might be worth it.

@johnbon: Let me start out by saying I think you'be got a great idea, but might be coming off a bit too forward too early. Ask her to go out for some drinks or coffee again and maybe when you're out ask her to teach you some of her native tongue on this coming date. Then, make a new note that better suits the situation or present the current one for the next outing or next time you see her if everything goes well again.

I'd love to watch the GBEast team complete another FMV game.

Barbarians have been some serious assholes in the early game for me. They beat my early game units then other civilizations declare war on me.

If you haven't played Chrono Trigger before I'd say give it a shot since it came out on DS.

If you're willing try something that isn't a JRPG, then I'd say 999 and Virtue's Last Reward. They're visual novels with interesting stories and pretty cool puzzles.

I just started playing it a few days ago and I'm liking it enough. I like it more than my brief time with Smite, it feels good but it is a slower paced game. I can't tell if the game meant to be as slow as the matches I've played are leading me to believe, because people playing the game could be new to MOBAs and die a lot, teams don't push when they have an advantage, and more than half of the people I play with don't know what a hero is capable of.

I wish everyone moved a little bit faster, because potions don't heal or provide as much mana as I would like and it leads me going back to the fountain more than I'd like (usually from taking a lot of damage from being ganked or trying to help someone that's out of position).

I really don't know if I can recommend the game with so few characters and it lacking good tutorials. I can tell that there are a lot of new people to this style of game playing it, so maybe it isn't the worst way to get introduced to the genre.
