I was like you, OP, even a few years ago before I installed Steam. I'd play one game at a time and wouldn't buy anything new til I finished it. Now this largely a budgetary constraint..spending $60 means I need to get value out of the purchase, and that's to see the credits screen after X amount of hours. With Steam that value is not there. I'll spend $5 on Borderlands 2 and play it til I get bored. I have about 20 games on Steam currently (peanuts to some of you folks, but that's a lot of games for me) and I've finished one of them. Looking at my library now there's really nothing that, as you say, scratches that itch, and may never do so. It's the burden of too much choice, man!
