Games beat 2014.

Beat is a weird word. There a lot of games you put a bunch of time in to... but there's not real ending or anything. I think most the games on this list will probably have some sort of ending or whatever, but I either saw the end credits roll or dumped enough hours in to a multiplayer game.

This was the year where I started to actually have money after getting an adult job and what not. I already had a decent PC, 360, XONE, and 3DS. I ended up buying a PS3 from a friend to catch up on some games, and a WiiU because Nintendo.

1. Dragon's Crown

4 player coop was really great, although some of the art is fairly gross at some points.
2. Evoland

The gimmick of this game kind of drug on way too long, but the first hour or so was pretty neat.
3. The Swapper

Pretty great puzzle game and atmosphere.
4. Spelunky

Played on the PC. I originally played a bit of this game on the 360, and never thought I would make it to hell and back. Well I ended up getting way in to this again, and eventually I defeated Yama.
5. Ryse: Son of Rome

Yeah, this game is alright. Combat was pretty fun, and the game looks good. Nothing overly special though.
6. Counter-Strike: Global Offensive

A buddy of mine got a bunch of us in to this game, and we all ended up playing well over a hundred hours each. Kinda crazy, and it came out of nowhere.
7. Jazzpunk

This game is fabulous and you should play it.
8. Dark Souls II

Played it when it came out on the 360... I'm pretty sure twice. I really love Dark Souls.
9. Diablo III: Reaper of Souls

I think I probably dropped another 30 hours in to Diablo 3 with this expansion, I liked it a lot.
10. Titanfall

Hardcore parkour first person shooter. I liked it a lot.
11. Fable Anniversary

I like slaughtering all the townfolk and then buying all the property... I kinda play this game like a real estate sim now that I think about it...
12. Journey

Got a PS3 finally and started with some back log stuff. This game is absolutely gorgeous. A must have.
13. Pac-Man Championship Edition DX

Speaking of back log EFFFFFFFFFFFFFF YEAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH
14. Gunpoint

Super witty and goofy.
15. Dark Souls II

Annnnnnnnnnnnd then I got this game on the PC... I have a sickness.
16. Trials Fusion

Yup, it's more Trials, and that's what you want in life.
17. Remember Me

This game does some cool stuff, but man is it ever repetitive. The definition of a 3 star game.
18. Transistor

I liked this game, but it ain't no Bastion. Maybe I set my expectations too high.
19. Wolfenstein: The New Order

And this is what happens when you go in with low expectations! Loved this game.
20. Uncharted: Drake's Fortune

Yay more back log. I enjoyed Indiana Jones the video game part 1.
21. Mario Kart 8

I finally broke down and also bought a WiiU, in large part because of this game. I don't think I've owned a Mario Kart game... since the N64? Anyway, I was super happy with this purchase (both game and WiiU).
23. Long Live the Queen

Yup.
24. Shovel Knight

This game is hella rad and you should play it.
25. The Wolf Among Us

I really enjoyed the world and atmosphere of this game. It may have it's flaws, but this was something I really loved despite itself.
26. Super Mario 3D World

OMGGGGGGGGGGGGGG this game justifies my WiiU purchase. Like... holy crap.
27. Destiny

This was alright.
28. Divinity: Original Sin

Really cool, but way too long.
29. D4: Dark Dreams Don't Die

Justifies the XONE, so great.
30. Middle-earth: Shadow of Mordor

This is gonna be a top 10 game this year.
31. South Park: The Stick of Truth

Really hilarious and strong mechanics.
