Games, Games, Games and yes..... more Games!

Trying to manage time and complete my current collection games to make way for older games I want to play and upcoming games is becoming a daunting task.  Have to balance that line of rushing through a game but also enjoying the experience and the game. Currently on the play list,

  • Bioshock (PS3) - Early in game
  • Little Big Planet GOTY (Playing with son) - Early in Game
  • Mass Effect 1 (XBOX360) - About 16hr in game doing a lot of side missions.
  • Modern Warfare 2 (PS3) - Doing special-ops with my wife.

Currently waiting to be played are Mass Effect 2, Batman Arkham Asylum. I also plan on picking up FFXIII, Heavy Rain, Dragon Age and with the price drops I plan on getting Resistance 2 and InFamous.  Also want to get Shadow Complex due to the ravings on the Bombcast. JFC probably will finish by 2011 just on this currently slate. Was also tempted to get Just Cause 2 for some open world madness, but I will probably just wait until Red Dead Redemption for that fix.

Anyways, good times ahead.

Getting back into the mix.

So I have been playing World of Warcraft for over 5 years now and during that time, I didn't give a shit about the next gen consoles or even other PC games (We had a Wii for my kids). I was hooked to this terrific game and it provided me with enough playtime that I didn't mind what was happening around me in terms of the video gaming landscape. I just didn't care because I was happy with WoW.

This changed in late 2009 with the price drop and repackaging of the PS3,  on a side note I love movies and didn't have a Blu-Ray player so to me this was the perfect timing to buy a next-gen console. Also, WoW has been increasingly stale basically limping along until the next expansion which would be still at least 10-12months away. And holy shit, after getting the PS3 games have passed me by.

The graphics, presentation and scale of these current games are mind-blowing. Shortly after getting the PS3 I also came to own an XBOX360 and currently I'm having a wonderful time playing catch-up to all these must-play titles that were released over the years on these systems.

This has been good time to get back in the mix of video games.
