@xgumby It's nice to see someone post a new level, it has been a while. Your level has nice aesthetics, and that is despite me being the opposite to you with SMB3 being my least favourite tileset. I don't think SMB3 holds up visually, but I think SMB still does. I got a Castlevania vibe early on in your level due to the large windows.

I have been playing Mario Maker since launch and I don't see me stopping anytime soon. I recently uploaded some new levels, so here they are. I have been getting into short, quick levels with time limits, and this is my take on them. One of them is even a water level. I will post my playthroughs of them as well.

@king_of_destiny nice little puzzle level. I think I have first clear/record on it.

Back with a brand new level. This is a quick dash level with a 10 second timer, and it has a couple of nice POW tricks in the middle section.

Fashionably Late

Here is my play through of the level to see how the POW section works. As long as a POW block doesn't hit a solid object then you can get away with throwing it about.

Back with two new levels. Both of these levels are based around moving platforms on tracks, so quick platforming is needed. Here are the bookmarks and my play through of each. If anyone is interested in playing them then I would suggest playing them in the order posted as Meteora is a bit more difficult than Haunted House of Horrors.

If I could choose only one movie to sum up action movies from the 80's then Commando would be it. I genuinely think this is an amazing movie, and probably my favourite (not necessarily best) Arnie film. For anyone who hasn't yet seen John Wick I think that is the modern day take on Commando and is also a fantastic film with great style.

I started a series of mini levels that contain little tricks that may be new to most as they are very rarely used or seen in levels. Putting one or two of these ideas into the next Giant Bomb level would be a way to confuse a certain youtuber.

Mini Tricks: Palette Swapping

Mini Tricks: Best Buzzy

Mini Tricks: Team Work

Mini Tricks: Lava Launcher

I would be interested to know how any of you beat these levels because I tried to make sure that they could only be beaten the intended way, but I know there are two solutions to completing Best Buzzy, although they are pretty much the same idea.

I wouldn't mind the inclusion of new themes such as desert and snow. More enemies like the ones you mention would be nice, and perhaps fuzzies. They should also change back to the old P-switch physics pre last update.

Something I would really like which I think is probably beyond this version of the game would be changing tile sets within a level. For example, the main world could be Super Mario World, but if you go in a pipe the sub-world might be Super Mario Bros. It would make for some interesting blend of ideas and mechanics.

Here is the completion video for the level I previously posted called Super Shell Surfin'.

I also completed my set of non-stop on-your-toes levels with my SMB3 level. This one might be the easiest of the four levels in the set and I like how it turned out. It is called Swift Stronghold. Hopefully one of you can give it a good go.

@smeatbass I've now had a few levels I have recognised show up in 100 Mario Challenge. I have even had a couple of levels I have beaten show up for me again. Here is my run through of Roads Untravelled. Hopefully it will encourage you to try and beat it. It is mostly timing based platforming, and the start is probably one of the trickier parts, along with the boot exit near the end.

I have uploaded a new level which is part of my quick non-stop (for the most part) platforming levels. I want to do one in each of the game styles. Roads Untravelled above is the SMB version. Skyline Bling is my SMW version, with the play through below.

This recent level is my NSMB take on the quick non-stop platforming level. It is all about constantly (for the most part) bopping on shells to stay alive, so you are always on the move. It is a really tricky level and I probably should have recorded myself beating it as it was rather tough to do so. I will post a video of it once I get around to beating it again.

One of my next levels will probably be my SMB3 version of these levels. I also want to try and get back to making a more traditional Mario level.

@smeatbass I got your Horrorcore level during a 100 mario super expert run last night. It is a good level. I also played Nightmare in Mushroom Kingdom which I really enjoyed.

Almost all of my levels are created in the Super Mario World or NSMB tile sets because they offer the most in terms of gameplay mechanics, so I wanted to try creating a level with the SMB restrictions. Due to the limits on SMB I went with creating a level that is based around quick and precise platforming. I like how it turned out. It is a bit challenging.

I also made another level in the SMB tile set because I really like the running animation given to the Starfy costume. This is a pretty simple running and jumping level, but with a 20 second time limit so there isn't much room for error.

@mattadord Thanks. The only thing I didn't like about my checkpoint system was needing to go between subworlds using pipes due to only being allowed one checkpoint per subworld.

@pirateogta I got Jeff's Underground Action level while playing 100 man expert, and I recently got The Giant Bomb Level 3 in super expert. It is weird when a level you know or have played before shows up in 100 man, it has happened with a few other levels I have played also. At least it is much better than getting the really bad troll levels you have never seen before, or enemy spam levels created to take lives from you. I have bookmarked your level for later.
