That's really unfortunate. I've only been using Shopto since January and I've never had any real issues with them. Well, the site never works for getting any preorder dlc codes but a quick email always sorts that.
I would probably put it down to a site bug rather than them going and deleting your account. The website isn't the greatest, I'll admit that, but the thing is it's never a bad enough experience to make me even consider going back to Amazon. I shopped at Amazon for years and they were atrocious at sending things on time and the item and delivery prices were sometimes really bad (delivery prices in particular). I can order something before 12PM from Shopto and the free delivery always gets it to me the next day. Amazon take several days even to post items on the free delivery and then another few for delivery. Shopto also almost always has lower prices for games and they even ship them early so you will mostly get games before release and at latest on the day of release. Amazon meanwhile struggled to get games to me on release day even when you pay for faster delivery and also it was really insulting hearing all the benefits and free credit the US site would offer customers when in the UK we get literally fuck all.
I had such a bad experience using Amazon that I would still recommend you stick with Shopto and continue emailing them in the hope that something can be done. Hell, I'd sooner use GAME than Amazon these days.
Yes they have better prices in a lot of cases and they are good at getting the games out on time(if not a day or two before) but I am not aiming to get to Gold level again when something like this can happen.
Amazon are not the best, I may forget about online shopping as much as I can and get to my nearest store which might cost a little more but I would rather that than have them lock me out even though I have spent £100's with them, PLUS - I get some exercise too...and fresh air!
I don't think its a bug that will get fixed. I have emailed them and I get some general response email that reminds me of the times when I had to phone Xbox Customer Support. They don't care and they don't try and resolve it. They don't even ask you about your account to try and determine if it is a true problem. They could ask what I had bought recently, how much had I spent, my address etc.
I think its been wiped. Grabs money, goes to the REAL shop!
