It seems like the only way now I can get any kills in is to hang back and snipe from afar. Takes 3-4 shots from the basic Sniper Rifle to take down dudes with prototype gear but it's doable and at least I'm contributing to the team. I much prefer to be in the thick of the action in an assault role but with my current gear most times I just die a lot, even when in a group so I'm forced to avoid close confrontation. It almost feels like I should leave the game and come back in a couple of months to let the skillpoints accumulate so I can upgrade my guy to at least a near-competitive level. Though at that time I would probably find myself in fights with even more super-powered dudes. They really need to fix the match-making soon before us newbies get tired of dying.

Hey folks I recently joined the corp, you can find me online as Antrec Kesala. The game seems decent fun without being amazing and I can't wait to contribute to the cause but I think I've run into a bit of a stumbling block. I just "graduated" from the Academy and man my KDR must have dropped a whole bunch as I keep getting my ass kicked in pub matches by people carrying proto weapons/armour. Goddamn those effin' Duvolle Tac ARs. Not having a beta character is a real pain and I'm not relishing the grinding I'd need to do to get competitive quickly.

Anyway, looking forward to hooking up with other duders to shoot people in their space face!
