Squaresoft probably created more great titles than any company in existence, even without Final Fantasy they'd still be powerhouses. That said, I refuse to acknowledge Square Enix as even partially the same company.

It's Rare. So many great games in so little time. If only they'd been able to hold their ground and retain any of the same people and any of the creative rights they had.

As Ea-absolved as they've become, I still love BioWare. I love Baldur's Gate, I love mass Effect, I love Dragon Age, i love Neverwinter Nights (you get the picture). I guess we'll see where they go now that the two founders have given up on their enslaved infant.
