Hmm just as a PSA, the PS5 version of Genshin Impact DID get a patch. It's nothing revolutionary, but it does make the game run at steady 60 and load A LOT faster. It's still probably the worst place to play tho, due to the account situation.
Also, just a doubt, what did Jason mean with "the Island of LESBOS" as a bad thing about Immortals. I mean, it is a real place, and it inspired the term LESBIAN, and it has become a sort of global attraction for lesbians... Just wasn't sure what he meant.

I'm still very curious. But I'd be way more curious if the time investment required wasn't so brutal.
For that curiosity, I assume it'll still sell very well, stings a bit for all the indies out there doing creative/brave things that don't get any attention. But it's also cool that a concept like this can be given such a spotlight.
It really does look pretty unchanged huh? I suppose fans will like that. But BL2 bored me a lot.

I also find it a little disappointing that Abby throws out "sexual predator" about what I assume is Chris Hardwicks return. All the allegations against him got cleared, there was never any conviction, and even if you want to question the existing evidence, it becomes a private he said / she said. Calling him a sexual predator without any nuance seems deceitful, no matter her opinion.
And don't get me wrong, the whole atmosphere surrounding this game is icky. I'm staying away, but being disingenuous doesn't help anyone.
@dray2k: Oh yeah, I agree this is Jackass level, this is not great satire, or good satire. I don't find it funny. I think there is an interesting point about how much people will do for 5 dollars, but that's not being discussed here.
And I also agree, Disney should distance themselves from elements potentially damaging their brand (makes me wonder why they ever signed him, I feel PDP has been mellowing, but he's never really been Disney material) .
However, I disagree on his new media status, he is one of the prime examples of community fueled success. He's influential in unprecedented ways, and he is a product of the more absurdist modern meme culture. We can call it rebellious, and we can call it stupid, but that doesn't remove it's influence. However, the issue I feel, is with the de-contextualization of media, followed by the ad-hominem use of this selective information.
I don't think that it being bad satire, should allow for that kind of personal assumption of intent or misinformation in the media. Specially when said joke has a context that contradicts the literal meaning.
I don't mean to stir any pots, but looking at the PewDiePie things, It seems to me that he's never really saying "I'm sorry you're offended" at all. In his last video, he very much acknowledges the jokes were in poor taste, apologizes, and assumes the consequences. In that sense, Alex seems very uninformed.
What is true is that PewDiePie is very much resentful of the treatment that the media has given the conflict, by not acknowledging it as satire or ridicule. It's a bigger discussion but you wouldn't say South Park or "Oh brother where art thou" are racist because they portray a KKK meeting (among other things). There is a context there and we understand that the purpose of that display is in no way to further a hateful intent.
In any case I've never been a follower of his work and I'm not condoning the jokes, but I do see a certain negative intent in the way he has been characterized, and how more media has jumped on the bandwagon further abstracting the issue and painting him (and not his actions) even more negatively.
All in all this makes me realize there's a huge disconnect between the traditional media and the way they see this personality based media. I feel if this same satire appeared in other more traditional mediums, the reaction would be very different.
That said, I can't really fault corporations like Disney for dropping his act, as they are entitled to protect their interests, and they should. But that's not really the question here.
Yeah I don't know, I tried the alpha for a bit, then the Beta for a longer while, but I still find this game to be a bit MEH, I'm sure this plays and probably looks a lot better than Battleborn (haven't played that one as much), but I feel the same lack of interest for both, I even feel slightly more engaged by the fact that Battleborn seems to flesh out the world in a somewhat more meaningful and game related way.
Even the actual playing of Overwatch felt a bit average to me, Melee characters have the same issues as all First Person melee games, Aiming felt overall somewhat lose (could be that weird lag), and I think there is even less awareness about when you are taking damage and from where than other comparable games, which leads to a lot of seemingly instant kills.
I guess it's a TF2 thing, I could never really get into that either, it's a nice looking game for sure, but it seems a bit simplistic, shallow and straight forward, even considering how different the characters seem to play and look.
One of the situations where I wonder what I'm missing.
Not pointing fingers, but Austin is wrong about Morrowind, there is definitely damage calculations, but if you hit, you hit. Although type of damage and amounts are obviously dependent on type of attack and other variables.
Damn.. I never knew the solution to that table puzzle dictated where the triangle puzzles appeared on the maze... I thought it was random and getting the platinum made me quite upset hahaha!
