Good write up, just want to add, love my X, I think the Series X has all around better engineering on the hardware, OS, UI, and physical design. Quick resume and ease of use are amazing and just better than the PS5.

@sethmode: I'm pretty sure the Barkerville reference made it to Brad as it made the rounds and a bunch of people likely let him know. I know GB crew was talking about it in a recent video (forget which one)

Great writeup. SOTN is one of my favorite games but I don't really care for the original. And of course I rented Simon's Quest a few times and had no idea what to do.

I do really like Bloodstained Circle of the Moon 1 and 2 which are done in a similar style to the old Castlevanias.

It's funny as I'm reading this, Vinny is playing Castlevania 1 on GB Infinite in the background. I would much rather watch Vinny play the early Castlevanias then ever play them myself again :)

Lot of posters here saying they pine for the old days and don't watch the videos. Yeah, you're not watching the videos. The videos are still good. The crew chemistry is among the best its ever been. I kind of agree with all the positives in this thread, and the negatives I've heard variations of for over a decade - "I don't like Dan Dan. I don't like Matt Mike." Great. All the former GB crew making their own streams now, we're feasting. I watch all the videos and barely look at the forums. I do look at the Discord. There's probably a lot of us.

Honestly the attitude is the same around here and the site hasn't changed much except the old guard is mostly gone. But now, I count Dan, JeffB, and Jan as the old guard. I think nothing's been the same since the in-person content went away and Jeff B has acknowledged that and they're addressing that where they can. Then they turn out and make the Summer Games Fest content backed by their new owners which is some of the best stuff GB has made in years, and as for the Quick Looks, they have recently been back on track IF you've been watching. :)

Edit: Blight Club is incredible.

Holy racing games. Good thread. I'll add Mad Max (2015) to the list.

Reviews were middling at the time - Alex gave it 3/5 - but that game has incredible car combat and a vibe soul that still stands out for me.

Cleared cookies and cache on Edge and still can't get videos to play when clicking. Happy to provide any info you need.

I also get an error "Whoops! Something happened and we are working on it!" on Play it Forward - 03 - Giant Bomb
