I unfortunately deal with this all the damn time, so much so that my friends would say I suffer from the worst ADHD. I'd been collecting games since my teenage years and sometimes I'd pop something in, play a few levels, get wrecked and decided "eh, I'll play something else." It's worse now with access to flash carts and Game Pass, and my lack of time during the work day. A game has to get it's hooks into me correctly for me to want to play it for an extended period of time. I get most of my gaming in on my off days during the week now, and that's if I shirk housework. So when I drop a game and play another after a few minutes, I'd do better to just uninstall it from my Xbox or PC so I'm not tempted to go back after 10 minutes.

I think reviews are still relevant, however I feel like assigning a number to base something's quality on is a mistake. "Oh this job only got an 85 from Vidjaplace.gov it must be crap" or "HOW DARE GEOFF THURSTMAN GIVE ZELDER AN 8.888 GAAAH." I'd rather just read someone's thoughts on a game instead of worry about the grade given to said game. Tell me if you liked it, thought it could use improvements, or hated it. Some gameplay footage and thoughts ala GB Quick Looks are exactly what I look for when wanting to buy a game anymore, and I have a good grasp on the type of game I know I'll enjoy based on that.

They're an absolute chore to get but it's do-able. I followed some store trackers and was able to get a Series X back in May from Target. Not sure if you use Twitter, but I followed some restock trackers there and turned on notifications for their posts.

Loved the Mass Effect 1 credits and being introduced to Faunts.

No. It seems neat, but I don't think it's for me.

Animal Crossing New Horizons, if getting the K.K. Slider concert counts as the ending.

Definitely! There's a great tutorial and there's even a less sweaty multiplayer mode you could ease into. Long-time THPS players might blow through the game in a matter of hours (I did) but if you haven't played these games and know the goals like the back of your hand, you'll easily learn them and have a great time doing it.

1996, seeing Super Mario 64 in Toys R Us. Back when they had the TV stationed SUPER high up, angled down at you. Here I am, 7ish, looking up at it, and just astounded at what I'm looking at.
