Randomizer isn't "cheat mode", if the game gives you a lot of stuff early then it might screw you over later on the one item you need in order to make progress later or at least have an easier time.
Stuff like boots and mirror in Turtle Rock is not cheat mode lmao
.... I like the first Destiny 2 expansion. Raid Lair is great and I like doing the grindable stuff that they added because I just really like playing Destiny 2.
Especially when playing with GB community folks.

I really liked Destiny 2 to bad that after 30 hours off game play i hit the gear level cap ( no i am not gonna farm exotic engrams for a other 50 hours to get power level 300 ) i am 271 for people wondering.
The way Destiny 2's loot progression works, the weekly milestones that get you "powerful gear" are what will raise the power level of the general engrams that'll drop or that you get from reputation vendors. It's one of the things they don't explain well at all, but it means you don't have to farm for exotic engrams to steadily improve your gear level.
I didn't remember this game AT ALL until the Gackt fact came up, and now I definitely remember hearing about this game solely because it starred this guy.
