Who the fuck cares about this? Seriously? Do youcare? I sure as hell don't.

Where do you think you are? This isn't a Yahoo article about another scrawled message on a receipt or the Kardashians or whatever. This is a gaming website posting an article about the games industry. If you don't care, fine, but a lot of people who come to GiantBomb do care about and enjoy these articles.

@arbitrarywater: The saves are a bummer, true, but the campaign the game comes with is more like an extended, professionally produced demo of what the game is capable of. It's a fun ride along some very focused rails and it would be disappointing if it weren't for the fact we're going to start seeing hundreds of new campaigns to play in the very near future.

I was like, "Hey, I'll check GB for the news. Haven't been there for a few days."

Unbelievable shock and sorrow. Farewell, Ryan.

Playstation Plus new additions for July 2013 (North America)

  • Battlefield 3 (PS3)
  • Metal Slug XX (PSP, Compatible on Vita)
  • Jet Set Radio (PS3)
  • Dokuro (PS Vita)
  • Oddworld: Munch’s Oddysee HD (PS3).

But yeah, Defense Grid is comparable, right?

Because comparing a service that just launched to one that has been going for a year + is comparable, right?

Look at the first game PS+ put out compared to Fable III, lol. Also, on MS service you get to keep the game forever!

Whoever does it first is bound to do it wrong. They're allowed far more leeway in figuring things out because they're treading new ground. The company that apes their model had best line all the ducks up right because they've seen how the model works and how it doesn't. I'm not bothered by Microsoft dropping the ball a little, it just boggles my mind that they're dropping the ball at all.

Hunked, definitely. Every time I think of Ryan's "Anyone!" I crack up. Rap Man, stoned scientist, shoe bongs, script reading on camera. And Brad nailed his part with aplomb.

Another tip I've found very useful is to break LOS with all of your troops, preferably with Overwatch up. This will force the enemy out of position to come to you. I usually use one or two guys to check on the enemies and see what they're up to every round, but especially if you're severely outnumbered, this can help even things up. Also, it's a fantastic way to deal with Sectoid Commanders (less risk of Mind Control buttfuckery)

no. no it's not a very good movie. read the illustrated version of the book, instead. and watch Mirrormask.

You don't like Stardust but do like Mirrormask? It's like I'm reading words but instead of words they are hipster glasses.

They recently slowed it down in a patch, but I'm not sure by how much. Now the quality of the item factors into the skill increases. Is spamming Iron Daggers still an easy way to level smithing? And besides that, high level smithing and enchanting kinda' ruins the game.

If you've already completed the main quest with the character you're doing the DLC line with then it cuts out a fair amount in the middle. If you're just blasting through the main quest then you could probably do it in, I don't know, 5 hours? Maybe less. If you're talking, exploring, experimenting with new features and doing the side quests, then it's more like 15-20 hours, I'd say.

Although I guess it doesn't fit the criteria of early game very well. It doesn't have the best damage by any stretch of the imagination but it staggers enemies all the time. It says that it only staggers with a bash attack, but it actually procs on most attacks.
