This was posted months ago on blogs like Joystiq and Kotaku, and I don't know if the guy who made it was interviewed back then, but if he wasn't it's because nobody cared that much; I could have guessed that this took some time and effort to make. Making this front-page news is just untenable.

That blows, I would have loved a more refined RFG. I don't know what they were thinking with Armageddon, and it's a shame the whole series has to die off because of one misstep.

By the way, Red Faction: Guerrilla is $10 on PSN for a short while. Excellent deal if you haven't played it.

Nah, just some more boring bullshit people are going to pretend is interesting so they look like they are engaging on some next-level gaming discussion. People have been putting this kind of time into games for ages, even single player games.

Giant Bomb was one of the few gaming websites that neither inundated me with news nor posted overblown editorials just to look interesting, but now we get this kind of junk a couple of times a week.

@theredace: But this doesn't just affect Gamestop. It artificially devalues games across the entire second-hand market.

I don't like GameStop, but blaming them is silly. They're just a business that deals in used games. Their success doesn't excuse publishers trying to stomp all over consumer rights. There are better ways of getting money out of us. Maybe we should force publishers to find them instead of just rolling over for every stupid, abusive idea that comes into their minds. Publishers don't care about us, whether or not this is fair, nor how it affects the gaming industry, retail, or the second hand market, so we've got no business worrying for them. Worry about your own damn wallet like a consumer is supposed to.

Nabbed the 7GCT code from Friday.

The alternate history quest is atrocious. I'm pretty sure neither Assassin's Creed nor Wolfenstein counted. Neither did Black Ops, World at War, L.A. Noire, Singularity, or Resistance. Even going to the "Alternate Reality" concept page and clicking around there barely helped. The WWII concept page ended up helping a lot.

This quest is super broken, but it's broken in the way most of them are. It's not about your ability to find valid answers, it's about your ability to open a lot of new tabs from the right concept page. They need to be done differently and better, because so far quests are a neat idea that just isn't working out.

@Jonathan: Do you think it's poorly organized or do you just find it slow? Waiting for icons to load is my issue with it, but I like the organization.

@Ygg: PSN can be ridiculously slow. You get what you pay for, I guess.
