I really need to finish Prey. I also agree with most of your disappointments regarding T7 but I liked the story mode overall, it wasn't too frustrating to me. Also did you make some of these gifs? They are quite good and some seemed pretty specific to what you were summarizing.
Nice blog. I've definitely been neglecting this game and I keep telling myself "they patched it now, I should go back" but I don't for some reason. I'd like to play more of it for one of the reasons you pointed out which is to improve my inputs. King/Meitenkun/Hein was looking like my team a couple of months ago when I last played it, although it seems like Meitenkun/Hein have yellow dots in that pic you posted which is interesting.
Great article! Nice to see so many different perspectives on how to improve. I think my main personal hurdle is that my time management skills are pretty bad across the board; there are plenty of times when I think "I'm too busy" but I could be much more efficient and easily put some time on my schedule to practice/learn consistently.
What do you think of the album now that it's out? It's not bad but I do think it's one of the band's weaker albums after listening to it a couple times. Acid Hologram and Rubicon are the two highlights of the album for me. Koi No Yokan is much better IMO.
Nice article! SFV is the first Street Fighter I'm trying to take somewhat seriously (my goal is to be competent at the game, not necessarily pro) and although I'm complete trash right now, I am noticing small improvements over time and getting a lot of enjoyment out of it. I'm having fun with the "getting better at a thing" loop.
Survival mode does piss me off sometimes though...
Really cool idea. If this gets adopted wholesale though, I think there are certain genres where cross play does heavily favor PC (first-person shooters come to mind right away). Halo and CoD kids should start saving their money now, or prepare for years of punishment online.
All jokes aside though it sucks to hear that you had so many technical problems and it makes sense that those would bring the score down.
As someone who played the previous game + expansion on console and loved my experience with those games, it was disappointing to hear that this was going to be PC only (mainly because my PC is a bit behind the times). However I am considering building a PC at some point this year and going all out with the best of the best components; maybe by then the game will be running smoothly and I can have the most optimal XCOM experience.
