The main one I have now is a design featuring a crest from my book series and Kingdom Hearts keyblades above and below it (Oathkeeper and Guardian Soul respectively). I got it to celebrate finishing the lore of that series of novels and to start a series of black and white tattoos featuring things that matter to me in words if not intended purpose. Next up and on the other side of that same forearm is a pattern based on either the Hubble or James Webb Space Telescope combined with the phrase "extreme deep field" in Arabic. The other forearm / upper arm will be for colored designs, probably involving video games, D&D, and anime bullshit.

Also @shagge: Goodness those random tattoo ideas sound incredible.

I'm adding a bunch of people from here because apparently you get an extra 20% XP in a group, and I'm into them points. Those points. That points?

Anyway, I'm teekomeeko#1136, USA, and I'm not that great.

I basically play whenever I feel like, especially since I get at least 3 days off a week and have terrible sleep habits.

Also: I don't really play competitive as I don't feel like getting harassed for not being amazing.

I don't remember the "worst" ending I've ever seen, probably because even he very worst I end up laughing at and having a good time about it.

But Gone Girl. Yo, eff that ending. Like, what, a dozen sometimes gaping plot holes all in a neat little row. I exaggerate, I'm sure, but it sure felt like that many while I watched it. I hope the book cleaned it up better, because if it didn't it doesn't deserve the praise it gets.

I personally don't think so as long as they mention it sooner or later. "Hey, I've played maybe one _input genre here_ in my entire life," something like that - I'll immediately change my brain-space to take that into account if reading. It might honestly be very interesting to see that view point, and see how the person learns to understand something I learned decades ago, probably when I was young enough to absorb it practically without effort.

Of course I say that as someone who will not listen to that person's opinion about the game's overall quality. I've been playing games a long time, and a review can only really be useful to me by telling my more than the very basics. A review of XCOM 2 (technical issues aside) is absolutely worthless to me if it's by someone who is as new to the genre as Polygon's Doom player.

Adding some voices to games journalism that aren't quite so hardcore about all genres would be great for figuring out better ways to communicate simple information that we all take for granted. The answer to whether a game critic should be skilled is, like a lot of things, a little in the middle of no and yes for me.

I'm fine on my PC or laptop, but only because the processors are way decent. If I try to watch on my phone, it breaks the thing to pieces and I have to go to YouTube. It's been a pretty long time since I was able to watch content on Giantbomb.com proper using a smartphone, even at the lowest setting, without things falling apart spectacularly.

My occasional boredom would love this. I'd be just tossing on in the background on my days off like once a day while I clean up or do whatever, but I'd certainly be into it.

As many RPGs as I've played, especially JRPGs, I'm sure I've experienced an absolute ton of stupid moments, but I mostly forget them afterwards (which is an insult unto itself, honestly).

However, most of those events are only story-breaking. But Final Fantasy XIII has one that are also game-breaking.

Hope. His entire mother-f***ing character is just a trope of a kid who has to do more than what kid usually do. His story is worthless and could easily be replaced for better emotional connection with characters that mattered, like Snow and especially Sazh. His existence meant an even numbered character count, facilitating the elongation of plot and wasted development time on a third path in the early game that was already far too long. Several hours could have been shaved off the "introduction" if he'd been deleted. Or SE would have done something else to make sure the players took the necessary eight hours to learn how to play a turn-based RPG...

Then there's Lightning, who is also worthless. Her character doesn't grow or change almost at all, she just becomes slightly less of a bitch (or maybe she grows more than I remember but I hate her too much to change my mind). The main character should have been Sazh, whose story was more emotional and better tied to how utterly disgusting those "gods" in the game were. He's also black, which would have turned the whole damn franchise on its head for the better.

But despite those whiny man-baby complaints and a couple others, I think FFXIII is actually quite good. I'll also throw some thumbs up to those that have mentioned Father's motivations and many of his actions in Fallout 4. Total head-scratchers, right there.

Man, I'm trying to think and I don't think I had anything that was truly terrible infiltrate my childhood that hasn't already be sloughed out of my mind due to the ravages of time and cholesterol. Maybe some of those cartoons I thought were awesome, but I barely remember a bunch of those, and the ones I do remember are legit incredible to this day.

The only thing I can think of is the Garfield cartoon. I've heard in the last few years several occasions of people saying it was awful, but I remember that I couldn't wait for it to come on. The StarGate tv show also came on in my early teen years and a lot of people hate it, but I watched it in its entirety about three years ago and still thought it was awesome.

I switch between 2% lactose free and unsweetened almond milk - when one is out, I'll get the other. Typically I only drink it with sweets / cookies, so it takes me some time to finish a half-gallon. Haven't had whole milk outside of baked goods in a very, very long time. I had a spoonful of skim milk once when I was a kid because my mom bought it by accident. It was absolutely disgusting.

I don't really have something that I think of as a "best" game of all time. I have some favorites, sure, separated by genre, console generation, personal importance, and lots of emotional baggage.

To be honest, the game I probably think about the most, or go back to in my brain for a few minutes probably every few weeks despite other games falling by the wayside once I'm done with them is Final Fantasy VII. It's definitely not better than other games I have played, though (it's kind of worse than a great many of my other faves). But, it inspired me greatly in numerous ways, and is actually a big factor in why I'm so passionate about polishing off my first book and others after it.

Hmmm... I had a paragraph explaining why it is my favorite, but I think I'll just write a blog post about it and examine that game's influence on me a little deeper.
