Can I give you a small example of why I choose to not support/listen to Giant Bomb any more? This site chooses to not have women's t-shirts.

Come on, that's petty. Not to mention the fact that they absolutely do carry women's sizes in the store.

I don't think it's petty at all. It's a totally valid point. It just happens to be a point that's now outdated.

@sgtsphynx If you aren't already aware of it, you might want to consider watching Dagon. It's actually based on The Shadow Over Innsmouth rather than it's namesake, and is clearly a low budget affair, but with the exception of one scene that is clearly played out to get some gore in there (in a quite extreme fashion I might add), it remains fairly true to the source material.

I remember my first PC had a (allegedly 100% pentium compatible) Cyrix processor. God, that thing was terrible. The amount of games I purchased that just flat out refused to work because of that hunk of crap was bewildering.

A kind of neat idea sadly undone for me by the recurring video game curse of selective subtitle absence.

My thoughts exactly. This is actually why I asked the question in the first place.

On top of that, they're so faint. I presume they wanted to make them kinda ethereal and in the past, but for me, I just can't make out anything that's being said unless I crank the volume up to levels that are a bit uncomfortable for regular play. I end up just skipping them as a result.

I remember seeing Ghost Watch when it first aired on BBC One when I was about 10, and it got to me in a way that nothing else has, before (I sneaked in horror at an early age) or since. That show caused quite the storm.

Seeing it recently, I can't believe I was fooled by it. Some of the worst acting I've ever seen. I thought I'd have known better, even as a child.

Still, it has some amazing little moments, and it was cool seeing classic 90s BBC light entertainment presenters stepping out of their comfort zone. RIP Mike Smith.

“First and foremost, we’re gamers,” said Smith. “We wanted to be the best, we wanted to be world’s first."

If that's the sort of shit that's supposed to define what a gamer is, then count me the fuck out.
