Heading out to my local EB to grab my copy of Black Ops at midnight and take part in the ridiculous tie in promotion they have with V Energy drinks in Australia. Anyway want the chance to win a Black Ops branded beer fridge? That's pretty gold. Anyway, will be back shortly after midnight and will be installing post haste to get my first taste of Black Ops. I love that this is one of those releases that it pays to live in the geographically distant antipodes. Woo!

Me and a friend of mine are getting black ops at midnight too.But we got to be careful people are getting rob for this game.I can't believe some people are willing to take a life over a fucking game.Reminds me of that dumbass who killed he's mom,because she wouldn't let him play halo.

Man, I wish I could get my hands on some V energy... It's been awhile since I lived in New Zealand. That's seriously better than any of the energy drinks stateside... Maybe I only think that because it's what I grew up with, but still. I'm gonna look into importing some.

Judging by the grumbling in line tonight there might be a few 4 packs of V going up on eBay so keep an eye out :D
 
Also, steam is patching now, day 0 patch? Looks to be at least 30mb+ I think. Interesting.

So far so good, played an hour and a bit of multi. Typical Day 0 Lag. Game has a recurring hang ever 30 secs or so, even in menu, other players on the server were complaining of it as well. Hopefully a quick patch and its all good. New unlock purchasing system is interesting, also means no create a class between rounds, you have to drop entirely. 
 
Game runs super smooth on my system:

6gb Ram
2x275GTX Graphics
 
Would be interesting to see if there are any issues with nVidia vs AMD like there were with Bad Company 2 on PC.
 
Anyway, back to it, LVL 7 so far.
