If you've ever bought a FPS during this generation then you've undoubtedly bought one with the infamously generic "centered faceless soldier looking down and off to the side while their gun is leisurely angled at their side as well" box art game.
I'm looking right, completely different box art.
I'm looking to the left and my legs aren't shown. I'm totally different.
Grrrr....I'm walking and my arm is on fire a bit. Left foot up.
I'm also walking and my LEG is on fire a bit this time around. Right foot up.
I'm looking straight and point straight.
I'm "up staging" the audience by turning my back to them...or the camera guy obviously just forgot to move to the front of me.
If they didn't feel the need to pan-out to show those extra guys...guess what, same image if it was centered on the spartan.
Looks like the artist at id forgot to zoom-in on their guy aimlessly walking across an arbitrary battlescape backdrop.
I'm faceless even though we know the protagonist's face...gotta fit in though.
This one still follows the same formula, but at least the decision to make it half-black and half-white gave it that "Scarface" feel. So, they got their cliched ideas from multiple sources. Great Job Guys!!!
