Looks like downloads are broken. While this is pretty rare it is preventable, perhaps a reminder should be set so the poster can circle back and check things around posting time.
@voidburger: Thanks for the response. I'm going to chaulk this up to Corporate telling someone this needs to happen regardless of if the GB/IT team says it's ready.
On a happy note, the new download servers are much faster for me :) Also, the 1080p 5k videos are still being encoded even if not linked so I can change the filename to get them.
Please look at video encoder, the HD download is encoded in 4K which is technically UHD. Plus bitrate is very low for a 4K video.
I know you don't produce 4K video so this should be removed until you're ready. It doesn't show up on all videos but most since the switch to RVs video servers.
Please stop posting 4K videos unless you're producing them in 4K and increasing the bitrate drastically. These have the same bitrate of the 1080p videos from the pre-RV video host days.
@rorie: Thanks Rorie, it works now. I do notice that the recent HD downloads have been pointing to the 5000 bit rate version instead of the 8000 ones so I have to manually change the URL.
@vinny: I'm a weirdo that downloads all 2-4 streams and watches them on my 4K screen at 2.0 speed at once. Main complain is it's usually impossible to keep them in sync so I just deal with it.
It would be great if you guys would do a clap or someone die in minecraft so I could sync things easier.
Or if you want a super niche feature, for 4 streams encode to a 4K feed with audios synced. I know this would never happen as it would require too much work. If your web player supported faster playback speeds I would use it.
I like to watch all 4 videos on the screen at once and syncing the streams up is a bit of a hassle. Is there anyway you guys can start in a chat window or something and do a countdown so we know when to start?
