Sim City and Battlefield 4 were probably the worst purchases I have made. Forza 5 also pissed me off. Between work, girlfriend, friends I don't have much time to play games and often don't have the energy to really get into a game like I have in the past. I don't want to rank up to get shit, I don't care about progression. Just give me a game with all the content from the start that works and isn't full of fucking bullshit network issues.
Cancelled my XBONE pre-order. Forza is the only game I really wanted. I will just drive my Evo around IRL to supplement the lack of Forza in my life. Other than that there is nothing that I can't play on my PC that I can't get on consoles.
Playing with random people sucks. I had a really great time when I was able to play with a few friends for a couple of hours. Aside from that I have had 2 of my characters deleted and frequent connection errors.
When Rockstar finally gets their shit together and the editor is released I see myself having a hell of a good time with GTA Online.
I played up to 43% completion of GTA V on my dev kit. I had the game running entirely off the HDD and had no issues in the 30 some odd hours I have played.
People who are jealous of you will give you shit for pirating even though you got the CE paid for.
I'm glad you're having fun. Can you tell me how similar the feel of the first few hours is to that of San Andreas? I really loved feeling like a weak, somewhat lonely and broken down former gangster at the beginning of San Andreas, especially that you felt like a small drop in a big world because of the massive map. Just roaming the land in lonesome trying to make something of yourself as you watch the world go round around you.
How much of that quiet insignificant-feeling vibe does V share with San Andreas? Or is it all WAH WAH big music big shit happening on screen big action big hollywood dialogue?
I only played the first 2 missions and then saved the game and just went driving and exploring. The intro mission is amazing and the shooting is the best in the series, you flick the thumbstick left and right to cycle through ai targets but it isn't locked. Shooting is just like Max Payne and vehicles handling is very different than IV. Drifting is like an arcade game, just feather the gas and brake and you go into a very easy to control powerslide.
@th3_james: How is the frame rate ? and what platform you playing on ?
360. Framerate is solid. Texture pop in is noticable when driving fast or looking at objects in the distance but it isn't as bad as previous GTA games.
