I'm waiting patiently for the Spice Girls block, as well as the inclusion of BBMak's Back Here. As a 90's child I realize most of the music is a homogenous mess, but boy is it carefree as compared to the 00's counterparts. Absolutely love this feature, and cherry pie needs to be higher (as in it is worse) on this list.
I am about 20 hours into this game and I am loving this more than any of the others that I've played. The combat in past games has always ranged from BAD to serviceable, and I love this switch. The amount of combat is a lot, but that is just how these games are, I really wish at some point they'd have an encounter slider or something.
The story here is on par with Yakuza 0 (if not better) and that is a good thing because most of the other Yakuza stories are...a little rough imo. Anyway this game is jam packed with content and on the series X that 60FPS is awesome!
The skateboard audio issue is unfortunate but in this game it really does feel like it fits the aesthetic of the whole thing somehow. I'd heard this framerate was rough but I would never imagine it was like this. And somehow...I want to still play this (or watch someone else suffer through it) Thanks for the quick look!
I like this idea for certain. My only constructive feedback would be to limit these to perhaps 30-45 minutes. I think an hour is a bit more than a general audience wants buying advice (if that is why you came to this review), but if you want to just talk about the game that's something that the podcasts will almost certainly cover. This review format could just be a little more focused and I think it would benefit from a bit of a shorter run time. Overall love it, keep experimenting!
For whatever reason (and I'm someone that has looked at both PUBG and Fortnite and played neither) this game looks ridiculously appealing to me. I'm way in for this kind of wackiness.
