@mosespippy: Yeah, i think I will buy THPS HD eventually. Still, I'm probably going to buy the Pro Skater series and play through it since it's just so damn fun!
...and do you think I should just buy those games instead of this? I love the Tony Hawk series, my first one out of the series being Tony Hawk Pro Skater 3. I have never gone back and played the first two games and, when i heard this game would have levels from the first two games, I was pretty excited. Now that I see that it's only a few levels and a few skaters (which I wasn't expecting much for 15 bucks anyway but, still....) I was thinking that I could probably buy the first two games on Amazon and get them for less than 15 bucks and have a better time than I would with this game. At first I was just joking but now, I'm extremely interested in that idea. I was wondering if you guys thought that was a good idea and if I would still really enjoy those games or if I should just buy this one.
@Phatmac: I'm right there with you. When I first got my 360, I saw it for 5 bucks used at blockbuster and figured I'd just get it. Probably the best 5 bucks I've spent on a game
@Aarownd: I know, Video game journalism is just one of the five or six different things I'm exploring. I'm just doing the blog thing to get a taste of it, even if it isn't a large taste
Thank you everyone! I really enjoyed the main story but when I saw all of the extra stuff I had left to do, which I'm not complaining about necessarily because all of what I've done so far has been really fun, I got a bit worried
I'm at a point in my life where I really need to decide what I want to do with my life and i'm coming up with several different things. One thing I've considered is video game journalism. I always hear how if you want to be a better writer, you should start a blog or find some way to write everyday and receive feedback. I was just about to start my first review for the Game of the Year edition of Batman: Arkham City but I have only done about half of the side quests and I haven't completed every single Riddler Challenge and found every trophy. Do I need to complete the entire game before I give this game a review or should I complete it as much as I can. I only ask because I sometimes hear on the Bombcast about how someone completed a game 100% and I was wondering if that was something you have to do.
I apologize if this is a stupid question or if I have placed this in the wrong section. I just really want to make sure I give the game a completely fair review.
@Pezen: Ok. But these were pictures taken by the guy who went. Why are you expecting HD photos? He isn't a professional photographer and he was probably happy he was even able to get the photos taken at all. Why is it such a big deal that the photos aren't good quality? The point of the article wasn't to show off somebodies photography skills. It was to tell a cool story.
@AuthenticM: Probably the dude who went? Not everyone has a top of the line camera. Some people don't need a top of the line camera and are cool with what they have. The dude was probably happy enough that he was going to see his favorite studio and probably wasn't worried about camera quality
It was a beautifully made film. I mean, It really makes you appreciate the process of making a game and made me buy Super Meat Boy right after. Everyone should give this film a try
