It doesn't really matter in my experience. Even on the hardest difficulty i don't recall the game being difficult. I always went with companions who fit the context of where the story was at for banter and exposition.
@deeds: same. I feel like the quality in AAA games has dipped so much in recent years too that I'm kind of just losing interest in games as a hobby. I stopped following games news daily completely when both kotaku and waypoint were hollowed out and now GB will be operating on a skeleton crew for who knows how long and for a venture capital company to boot. I hope Jeff knows what he's in for.
steam controller feels incredibly awkward at first, but it will cover you for slower kbm games like 4x or maybe even stuff like pillars of eternity or stellaris. also, you can check before buying if a game has gamepad support as well. an xbox one controller has you for all of those.
@luchalma: i think their evaluation lends itself to more authority because Austin, like Jeff, tends to be very sparing with banner praise, so when they do freak out over a game, like austin with this demo and jeff with mario maker, it adds something to the equation.
@kirkyx: it's really something. it seems to be embracing the political dimension of cyberpunk stuff and centering class dynamics in both the story and the worldbuilding. i feel like a little kid again being this excited.
