Howdy y'all, I was wondering if any other season pass holders had issues finding the EX chests that hold, for example, the "super dope" Switch shirt. I'm pretty sure I had the update/patch/whatever installed before I even created my save file, but when I go to where the chests are located (I cheated and looked at some videos, sue me!) the chests simply aren't there.

So I'm wondering: did I do something wrong? Install something out of order? Is this save file fated to never have that garish garment? Or have I just not progressed far enough to access said crimson clothing? I hope I'm not alone here, though I can't seem to find anyone else with my specific issue; most folks just can't find them!

@pyrodactyl: I...think most of us understand this and are fine with the mechanic. It's also fine for people to not like that though? It isn't that he doesn't understand it, he just doesn't like it. So he said he didn't. Which is his opinion, and he's welcome to it, and your sourpuss "his loss" comes across as a weird attempt to validate the grotesque internet mob that forms around trivial bullshit like review scores.

Can't remember if I posted here or on GAF, but thanks for making this site what it's been, Drew. Your kindness and enthusiasm as "talent" and skill as "producer" have been a large part of what's made this site so special. Best of luck with whatever's in the future.

@jimbo: I mean, that kind of just reinforces the power disparity between actors (or contractors, more generally) and the companies attempting to hire them. They aren't equally-footed negotiating partners, an actor is one person vs. a group of people. The function of a union is to give smaller players a more equal negotiating platform. The strike is effectively the union turning your statement back around on the companies: "if they don't want to [pay] the terms on offer then don't and go earn a living some other way."

It isn't okay for one party to have all the power in a negotiation; without organization, an actor choosing to not work is far more harmful to them than it is to the company in question.

Maybe pledges for facepaint or something? My girlfriend wore skull makeup all three days for Day of the Dead last year, and wearing that facepaint during your regular classes takes some dedication. Maybe have sponsors pick the designs? I dunno, as a non-girl my ideas are inherently out of touch.

I don't really think the issue is "this is sexist and bad," right? More like "only ~50% of people can participate so what's a fun way to involve the other ~50%". Inclusivity doesn't have to be "don't be sexist, mm'kaaaay," there's positive elements as well.

As a suggestion...fingernails? You can clean and groom them and paint them and stuff, so much like a beard can be a fun (if scruffy looking) fashion statement, long natural nails could be one too?

@humanity: Oh yikes. If I may ask, what motivated you to get it there? That multiplayer segregation is a real problem.

I've barely dipped my toe in the water of Virtual Console stuff, and after the shitshow that was Super Mario 64 VC I doubt I'll check in again. I already have a backwards compatible Wii hooked up to a TV, and I'll just buy a damn N64 before I fire up that darkened lag-fest again.
