man, these threads where someone has something horribly wrong with them and then decides to not go do the obvious thing immediately always puts my "is this a troll thread or just really dumb" detector way out of wack
The opening of Uncharted 2, with Drake hanging off the train that's hanging off a god damn cliff holy shit

bonus points cause he almost gets killed with a first aid kit.
Fighting two Scarabs at once near the end of Halo 3. Extra amazing because "One Final Effort" is playing in the background and that maybe gets my vote for greatest video game track.

The whole last god damn level of Modern Warfare, but especially the gun slide/slow-mo bit at the end. Alternatively, the sniper moment from earlier in the game.

I second the "last portal that you shoot" in Portal 2, as well. Fucking perfect moment. Also the moment where John walks out of the barn at the end of Red Dead Redemption. ALSO ALSO the very last, like, fifteen seconds of Darksiders.
Whose Line Is It Anyway? was awesome and hopefully it's still awesome when it comes back. Too bad they couldn't get Drew Carey, but they got those original cast members so cooooooooooooooool
It can't be the same ship or the same planet that was in Alien, which was a fucking weird way to end Prometheus (how did the Xenomorph get to LV426 in the first place!?).
I raised this same question and someone reminded me that when they first enter the chamber with all the capsules of crazy black goop, there are carvings on the walls of Xenomorphs. So presumably the....the....Engineers? I can't remember what they were called. Presumably the big bald albino weightlifters who were previously known as Space Jockeys found that the Xenomorph was a common outcome of the goopy stuff. I guess.
The Raid is amazing and the new Dredd movie is good, too. The action is a little slow/old fashioned in the sense that it's all shooting and whatnot but seeing Dredd work his way around a clusterfuck of a situation with a new rookie with him is really entertaining and it's pretty satisfying seeing these horrible, horrible people get some simple, violent justice....in a kind of messed up way.
Also his delivery of "I am the law" actually kinda gave me a chill when I watched the movie. It's treads this awesome line between being goofy (because, really, "i am the law" honestly) and being terrifying because Urban really sells that Dredd fucking means it. Good shit.
