Ye that does seem a bit weird, but I wouldn't blame them for it because their target audience is much lower than that, its great that your grandad is into all this but I don't really think it's fair to blame anyone for having an age-gate that only goes up to 80, I'm sure if you PM'd Dave Snider or someone else on the staff about this they might help.

I wouldn't mind seeing some EVE Online but I don't have much interest in anything else there, but then again i was the same with persoan before the endurance run. I wonder if the next game they go for will have sucha focus on the story, I could totally see them just choosing a game with a much lighter story or none at all, but then again that would mean that the new endurance run could get stale quite quickly.
