Personally, I’ve always loved the Tenkaichi games with Tenkaichi 3 being my favorite. They’re the only games that even sort of captured the feel of a fight in Dragon Ball and I always found them really fun to play.

All the games afterward, Xenoverse included, just always played poorly to me. I feel like if someone expanded on the Tenkaichi combat and fleshed it out a bit more, they could be great games.

As a huge fan of the Kingdom Hearts series, I’d skip the third one. It is one of the most disappointing games I’ve ever played for a multitude of reasons. But I’ll give a quick summary why.

1. The combat doesn’t feel as good as it should. I love Kingdom Hearts 2, especially the Final Mix version, and its combat feels great to me. The Kingdom Hearts series has an odd quality of the gameplay getting much better as you play and acquire more abilities. After a certain point, aside from some minor quirks, I think the KH2 combat feels really good. Not as tight as a Bayonetta or Devil May Cry sure, but still good. This does not apply to Kingdom Hearts 3 at all. It’s never terrible, but i can’t say I ever had the same thought that it was good. The combat looks cool to say something positive. The moves all look great and are very cinematic.

2. Story is awful. The story was always kind of a mess, but KH3 doesn’t even resolve the interesting story threads that are brought up in side games. It also doesn’t help that it feels like you do nothing of importance for 90% of the game and then backloads all the story into the last few hours.

3. Voice acting is atrocious. Idk what it is with this game but the voice acting sucks. Outside of the main crew, none of the characters sound remotely decent.

Ultimately, there are small sparks of a great game in KH3. Like if the cacophony of ideas they mashed together had some better direction and purpose, it could have turned out great. It didn’t though. If you’re really that curious I’d say check it out just to see what you think of it.

-So, essentially there aren't any individual stats you'll be putting any points into like with other RPG's. With FFXV, as characters level up, I'm pretty sure only the amount of health goes up and Noctis gains more MP as well. You'll gain AP as you level and do quests. AP, short for ability points, are used in the Ascension menu and that's where you'll be improving your team. So to actually answer your question, I'd recommend initially unlocking the increased warp strike damage and air step abilities for Noctis. Afterwards, definitely dedicate some points for the teamwork and technique sections in the Ascension menu. It'll make the combat much easier and your teammates will actually be useful. Also, putting some points into exploration wouldn't be a bad idea either. Those abilities help you gain more AP from just doing things you'd already be doing like driving and camping.

-Get used to blocking and dodging. The combat isn't too difficult but just holding attack will definitely get you killed more often than not and you'll end up using a lot more items then necessary. If you're the type to do a lot sidequests, you'll end up incredibly overleveled so the difficulty of combat will go down quite a bit.

-I'm late game and haven't really had to grind for anything. Usually, you'll just pick up the items you need for upgrading as you play the game and do quests. That experience might vary for you since I tend to do every sidequest I see before I do the story ones. Anyway, there's a guy named Cid you meet in the beginning of the game and he'll upgrade weapons for you. Oh right, I should mention that only certain weapons can be upgraded. They'll have a yellow plus sign next to the name indicating that. Noctis starts the game with a weapon called the Engine Blade and that can be upgraded into one of the strongest weapons in the game called Ultima. And you can get it really early. Like around the level 25-30 range.

I'd be happy to answer any other questions you might have.

I've played it consistently for about a year now. Legitimately surprised it has kept my interest for so long though. I thought I would've stopped playing once I got to level 30 but it is still lots of fun.

I'll be going off to college in the next few months and I need a new laptop that'll allow me to do all the basic things a college student needs. I was hoping someone could give me an idea of a good laptop that isn't too pricey. I was thinking anything within the $400-$500 range will serve me well. However, I'm open to all suggestions. This laptop would also be used for light gaming.

Thanks in advance. I appreciate the help.

I would say Hip Hop in general does degrade society... in general. Not every single rapper or hip popper is dick head though.

Immortal Technique holla!

I would love for you to enlighten me as what do you mean in general and would you claim other type of music degrades society.

When all you talk about is throwing money in the air like you just don't care and how bitches be all up on your sack while the other n*ggas be hatin, I would have to say that your music is degrading and stupid. Now buddy. You tell me... How many hip hop artists did I just describe? How many of them top the charts? Do they define Hip Hop? Of course not. But are they the majority of it? Yes.

Other type of music could be degrading but no other has took it to the level that Hip Hop has.

Those artists are not the majority. Even ones like Drake made alright stuff that wasnt all about that before he got signed. In fact most rap artists go that route when they become famous. Now can you tell me how many of them make it? Virtually none compared to many others who want to become rappers. My brother listens to a lot of metal and he showed me lots of bands that promote that kind of crap. And im talking about scene bands or whatever. And you listen to Immortal Technique..... No offence

Great point a song that comes to mind about that is Lupe Fiasco - dumb it down

1.) By majority I meant anyone who actually sells albums.

2.) Drake was always shit. Don't kid yourself

3.) You listen to Drake so no offense taken.

4.) The Cool was a great album, but in hindsight the entire album ESPECIALLY the track Dumb It Down was such bullshit. Look at him now.. he definitely did dumb it down with Lasers. Great Album though.

He did dumb it down with Lasers but that's only because he was forced to. If you're interested it's easy to read up on why the album turned out the way it is. Lupe has even stated he doesn't like Lasers.

Now back on topic there are a plethora of good rappers to listen to that aren't mainstream or glorify some of the things that are degrading in society. You have Aesop Rock, Lupe, Mos Def, Common, and a number of others who talk about the ills in society. Then you just have some who are talking about their life like Kid Cudi, Childish Gambino, or Cage.

Mainstream hip hop I'd say isn't the least bit positive but if you don't focus on that and dig beneath the surface then you'll find amazing rappers that make it the art it deserves to be. The only people who say hip hop is degrading are the people who haven't bothered in taking the time to learn and immerse themselves in the genre.

@Irvandus: My only advice is to get very good with the combat system. It's a little different from other MMO's as there's a rock paper scissors mechanic of sorts. It'll explain once you actually play it.

Also recruit strong demons when you see them.

I think you can get an enemy materia in disc 1 if I remember correctly. It's extremely useful and allows you to use certain enemies' attacks against them. Look out for the matra magic and beta skills from enemies. That's all I can remember hope it helps.
