or b) a realization that Valve, one of the main drivers of PC gaming, going to Mac signaled that they needed to get involved on the Windows side of things
" Paul might have been more coherent than Leigh, but at times he was almost as obnoxious. That discussion was one of those times. "
He made the greatest analogy of all time regarding the Wii though! "
I just find the guy grating, personally. Having played Warhammer and knowing the degree to which he's avoided any responsibility for how that's turned out doesn't help much, admittedly.
" @sofacitysweetheart: The presence of terrible comments in chat does not excuse her behavior on a live broadcast. "
Eh? You mean a bunch of dudes talking about video games is so serious that suddenly all other values become obsolete? Maybe you weren't offended by the notion of "killing and raping" someone because they were being kinda loud at times :/.
That there are anonymous internet trolls making extreme comments in chat does not undermine the legitimate criticisms that people might have had with the way she was acting. If every legitimate position was somehow negated by extreme comments made anonymously, no legitimate position would have any foot to stand on.
I think, in all honesty, all that needs to be said is this:
Normally, I enjoy the Giant Bombcast a great deal. It's the first thing I listen to on my commute once it's uploaded. I did not enjoy this one at all, though I kept going back to it hoping it would improve. Leigh was a large reason for this, though she wasn't the only reason---Paul is fairly annoying and the Harmonix guys weren't that interesting. Furthermore, the fact that some Giant Bombcast regulars like Vinny and Brad were absent from the conversation messed with the chemistry a great deal.
