Oh my god, Vinny fucking with Dan over cars is the best thing ever.

Spark plug being an acronym.. because the name doesn't just tell you what they do. Hahaha. Love it!

And also, there are more preferences than just your own @tatsuyarr. It's almost as if we are all different and unique and enjoy different things, and each person's preference is just as valid as your own.

There are several reasons given in this thread, if you want a variety of GB member opinion. I'm not typing mine out all over again, but the short version is that it involves doing something interesting and challenging with your friends.

So that's Destiny 2 ? count me out, I'm going to play a game I can enjoy and not a this. I've never felt so much contempt for a "game". After seeing this I'm really worried for the future of video gaming when I hear that a lot of player enjoy this kind of thing. I can understand people enjoying BDSM here and there because you can find some pleasure in it but surely not in Destiny 2 ? So people I'm asking you, why ?

Not reliably, no. With an auto rifle, as Jeff had, it's totally possible. But it's much easier (and much more reliable) to have a designated helper on each set.

Is it possible to shoot the triangles as one person and not do it simultaneously? Obviously, Jeff was able to do it once. Everyone says you have to team up to do it, but have people tried doing it as a one person job? Sometimes Destiny raid mechanics become so memetic that people accept things as gospel that aren't necessarily true.

Don't go in blind and you'll knock it out in 2 hours or so. Less if everyone's on it.

7 hours for 1/4 of the raid.

Yeah, I'm not gonna raid when it comes out on PC.

Ohhhh no. I'm 2 hours in and they've already said the correct strategy. And there's so much more video left. I fear for them.

@steevl: I was a hardcore raider in vanilla and BC Wow (easy to do when you're in high school) - 6 hours Tuesday/Thursday nights, 12 hours Saturday. We went into every encounter blind (and these were 40 man raids), and worked through them. It's some of the most fun I've ever had with a video game, and I still keep up with quite a few of that group to this day over 10 years later.

Gear-wise, they were. This raid is less of a gear check and more of a coordination/execution check.

The Gauntlet is also very hectic and un-intuitive. Going into it blind is very, very rough. We did half the raid blind the first week, and it took us 13 hours to clear.

You guys said you'll do the raid when everyone was ready. Everyone wasn't ready. Still, can't complain about a long stream, and this was clearly only part one.
