I definitely understand why people are down on this but to me this looks incredible, so many systems and everything is saturated in Kojima weirdness that is thankfully not of a MGS flavor.
It is interesting to hear Jeff's perspective that there is no "meat" here or that the whole game seems to be made of auxiliary systems that would usually be tacked on to some larger project, but honestly I'm exhilarated by the thought that a triple A game might be emancipated from the design idea having some sort of "main mechanic" that almost always ends up in tedious, drawn-out combat segments (even then, this game might have not escaped it entirely! the part where the PC was fighting the big dog thing didn't look super interesting...)
The only downside is the BB is giving me flashbacks to when I was very young and playing Super Mario World 2 and when I would get freaked out by baby Mario's crying/the concept of being responsible for something or someone.
