Punch Drunk Love, but it's a bit obscure, so Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind, Forgetting Sarah Marshal, and Adventureland are more understandable substitutes (though Eternal Sunshine is also strange, but in a quirky way many can get behind!)
" "Horse, meet rider; rider, meet horse." That's where Jeff went wrong with Red Dead Redemption. I think we all took a moment longer than expected to fully grasp the horse-riding controls, specifically with regard to accelerating and maintaining speed, yes? When Mr. Shoemaker brought this up recently, Jeff immediately fell silent. Personally, I'm okay with this. I've yet to finish the game myself. And I certainly would not confuse Jeff's perceived lack of interest with "hate." "
LET ME REINTRODUCE YOU. HORSE, MEET RIDER; RIDER, MEET HORSE.
narrative wise, it's amazing. really excellent characters and such great writing for them, as well as really good voice acting!
the gameplay could be... I hate it. It's hard, there are too many things to worry about, and combat sucks, especially when the engine isn't the best for it and everything is too damn hard to kill. Stealthing it is hard and frightening, so running works, but it's also not the easiest thing.
