Feels bad it's the last for Brad and Vinny but it's fitting. Thank you.

Yes! Greg acknowledged KOF! As much as some folks mentioned Street Fighter V, KOFXIV was too overlooked. Granted it's not the best looking fighting game by a long shot but damn it sort of compensates with little details in its look and a lot of heart in its design.

I think a Gundam VS game would do great here, hell, not to give them ideas but a F2P service for a western Gundam VS would do great. Just make that for PS4/PC (cross-play) and the people will come.

NO YOU WILL PLAY A GUNDAM MUSOU GAME ONLY AND LIKE IT!

"Less microtransactions and more giant robots" needs to be the new mission statement for this entire industry.

Console version of Mobile Suit Gundam Extreme VS Extreme Boost included so much microtransactions, albeit mostly cosmetic and not as F2P-like. So stuff like HUD and character navigators required additional payment. Post-launch Mobile Suits required payment as well and there was a lot.

I believe the arcade version of the latest EXVS game Maxi Boost includes so much microtransactions of the same idea.

The biggest problem I saw with Rise of Incarnates was that it was poorly promoted.

One of the producers was Michael Murray, more or less the second in command behind Tekken producer Katsuhiro Harada. I think their focus on Tekken 7 did contribute to the overall decline of Rise of Incarnates. Murray seemed to be more enthusiastic with promoting Tekken 7. It has an established player base and a new Tekken was enough for players to get interested and even play at this year's EVO.

It looked like there was no care done to ROI to make sure it catches any attention. There was a couple of low viewer streams featuring really good fighting game players but it never caught attention at all.

For those who play the Gundam VS games, it's a sorta beginner friendly version. On paper, that wouldn't be a bad thing but I think players (including the mass at Japan who play Gundam Extreme VS actively) really want the Gundam part in addition and this was lacking. I wouldn't be surprised if they wanted a F2P Gundam VS game easily available to play on the internet but because of possible licensing issues, it had to be nullified.

Out of all of NBGI's F2P game, this was relatively competent. While I haven't tried Ace Combat Infinity, Soulcalibur: Lost Souls was less competitive and more waste of time and Tekken Revolution's mechanics isn't as optimized as it is with Tekken 7.

Damn I just wanna play hella Tekken 7.

Hot Yazan references in GB articles makes me so happy.

And MAN, I would totally import one of those Gundam VS games if they came out on PS4. They'd be fun for some dumb local play.

Don't worry it will. I wouldn't be surprised if the latest version of EXVS called Maxi Boost comes to PS3 and/or PS4 sooner or later. With previous version, local play isn't they way to play. Playing with friends online (or locally though online mode) is at its best. The problem is that the limited availability restricts player variety if you live somewhere outside Japan. They are still profiting high from the arcade. When that comes out, BNGI will announce a new version of EXVS or even a major iteration of the overarching series.
