@The_Laughing_Man:  you obviously don't get it and never will. pro wrestling is a performance art and not a sport. just as video games are an art, comic books, anime, ect. you probably can't even begin to imagine the amount of stories and personalities that exist in the lore and history of the medium. like i said before, you either get it and love it or don't and never will.

i will say one thing, when you start hearing whiskey media employees during the big live live show using wrestling jargin like heel turn and putting over, you could imagine a good few of them would probably be interested enough in that kind of product.

i have to keep driving this point home, its all about that database. that alone would be a HUGE benefit to the IWC (internet wrestling community).

this web site idea can also include MMA since those two audiences overlap each other. the thing i care about most though is having that expansive database that whiskey media sites offer.

@xMP44x: also wrestling is not a sport. its a performance art.

@OwnlyUzinWonHan:  but wrestling IS its own medium. its an art that combines television and live performances to create on-going fiction that is intertwined and co-dependent of many different aspects storytelling that requires emotional development into the personalities that work together for us to suspend our disbelief and enjoy it as entertainment. just like ANY medium. its actually one of the few art mediums out there that really blur the lines of reality and fiction where real life relationships and conflicts actually do effect the storied product in ways many of us will or won't ever know.

but it is one of those things where you either get it and love it, or don't understand it and never will. there isn't much of a grey area there.

well there could be a chunk of the giant bomb crowd since the editors are into wrestling. you kinda need those guys to explain the business on a deeper and more intelligent level than your average wrestling fan could to try and at least entice some of the non/ex fans to at least be interested in the personalities that could be associated with the website. whiskey media sites are more about personality than anything else and you could share that style of humor with the madness that is pro wrestling.

so since whiskey media has expanded into producing  comic book, video game, technology, movies/television, and anime websites, would anyone other than me find the idea of a "pro wrestling" database site be appealing? there is ALOT of history connections in pro wrestling and a fuckload of people on the internet who are all about discussing pro wrestling and all of its lore. to me this sounds like an easy site to put together. the database section with editable pages for pro wrestlers, promotions, match types, kayfabe stories, real life stories, ect. all of which can create connections and could be one of the biggest sources for all pro wrestling information. there are also constant new stories coming out of the industry every day that a dedicated team of journalists can cover and talk about.

there isn't alot of really well produced products out there on the internet for these kinds of things. so many dedicated pro wrestling websites are just filled with ads on the pages, pop-ups, and tons of malicious software imbedded into them. it really is a hassle to learn about whats happening in the world of pro wrestling when you have to go to so many sources. i would definitly love a giantbomb-style of website to serve as my main source of info for one of the art forms that i admire so much. anybody else think that could work?

why does square-enix continue to act like they are the only people in the world making video games? i have absolutely no reason to play their shitty MMORPG when i can go hang out with friends and play halo: reach, starcraft 2, and WoW.
