I liked it but I really hope it's going to be a true sequel to Life Is Strange and not just some references.

@thisiseric: This has been an issue with Giant Bomb videos for so long, it's hard to believe they haven't fixed it. Have they at least ever commented on it?

You'd think especially with those OLEDs they love so much Giant Bomb would appreciate a good true black....

It's staggering and imo, a bit lazy.

@therealseaman: Despite the bad launch, SFV is doing just fine right now.

Fine in terms of eSports revenue but people still aren't buying the game, the netcode is still unreliable (not one patch to address it) and pros still **** on the game. Active player counts only temporarily spike up when a new balance patch or character comes out, within a month it loses most of that again. I'm sure this trend isn't just a Steam thing.

I don't blame people, it's a dull game and I rarely even watch tournaments now... during IV era, I watched every major even if it meant staying up until 7am. Even legendary match ups like Daigo vs. Infiltration don't have the same impact anymore.

I'll watch Evo but might get bored and turn it off before top 8 like last year, SFV makes me watch more Tekken than ever. I didn't like Tekken at all until SFV happened.

In Shinjuku Taito Station (South exit of the station), all 16 SFIV cabinets are regularly in use in the evenings (I go every week or 2). If SFV comes to arcades with another re-balance I'd give it a fair shot, but until then it seems plenty of people would rather play IV, myself included.

I've dumped on SFV enough in person at the arcade and on /r/Kappa so I'm going to draw a line on here and not speak about it again. SFVI please, with a different team behind it.

There's a new formula for fighting game science:

If developer = Capcom

If year of release is 2016 or later

The game is a mess/boring/dead

Street Fighter V underperformed and has less active players than IV in 2015, Marvel vs. Capcom Infinite is such a disaster it lost 95% of its playerbase in 3 months and didn't even get a single appearance at Evo (support entirely dropped by Capcom too)

Ultra SF II is a $40 re-release of a $15 XBLA game from 2008 with slightly more content, 30th Anniversary Collection has horrible netcode and less features than some previous re-releases

What is happening over there??? How do you systematically destroy your fighting game division within 2 years, after SFIV and Marvel vs. Capcom 3 did so well and were played for over 6 years at Evo?

This game has awful balance, 7 out of the top 10 players all use Bowser Jr. and he's as easy mode as it gets, insane reach and no flaws. I hope they patch it and don't hang the game out to dry.

I'm just not going to accept games against the character, he's ridiculous. He can trick shot everything even when you catch him out of position big time.

I might get tarred and feathered in @ replies about censorship for this, but did it seem to anyone else like there was a ridiculous amount of swearing in this video? As a parent with kids under the age of 10, when family friendly games like this come out, I find myself thinking how I'd like to show them the QL. I'm not a super protective parent, usually I'm more concerned about violence than anything else and some cursing is fine, but when every other sentence is "fuck you" or "eat shit" I just can't. I've laughed plenty at the crew ranting about bad kids and I'm not saying they shouldn't curse, just seemed like an excessive amount here in a Mario Tennis Quick Look for not really any good reason? I'm probably in the minority though.

Nah, you've got it wrong. Only random people on the Internet are vulgar.

The online can be rough at times. I hope it's just early issues. I played some games with a friend online from the same country, we both have great internet, it would just drop from 5 bars to 1 bar sometimes for minutes and then pop back up to full. Same thing happened with strangers online sometimes.

I've been watching some Twitch streams and the online looks a little rotten.

I am in Japan and it has been great. Yay for being Nintendo's target audience?

I like it! But the online is about as barebones as you'd expect from a Nintendo game.

I hope they add some content to it, it's definitely very thin.

Wait, what happened to the Jurassic World Evolution quick look. I was watching it just now and then it was gone...

It was too tone deaf because we live in a world where dinosaurs are extinct.
