Did you serve in the military at some point before 2010?

My father and all of my male relatives older than 18 did. You do not get a rifle for serving in the military. You get a rifle if you join hemvärnet (the national militia, kinda), which isn't all that common. My family does however own a couple of hunting rifles. They are all kept locked in a steel safe in the garage as with most people who own guns in Sweden. Owning a firearm for self-defence is very uncommon.
