Dundee - good place to work and live, I'd reckon. Has an ALL NIGHT BAKERY! Yesthatsright!  In case that sweetens the pot on any of those job for all ya. ;)

I'm glad to see a,  new company on the up in these days of closures, and b, that Scotland is producing what could be awesome games! (we suck atall sports except curling, and our national food is sheep entrails - tasty sheep entrails which go great with turnip and mash, but entrails non the less. Gaming is our ray of light for contribution to the international stage!!! lol)

lol Surely having a dating website aimed soley at gamers is socially irresponsable? After all, if we only embark on relationships with our own kind, however are we meant to learn 'normal' forms of interaction? In the end, every night will be spent sitting in fornt of (two) monitors, co-oping or battling with a bucket of chicken, some fizzy juice and pizza for repas. That's if we are able to even interact in the same physical space in the first place: chances are entire relationships will play out across an x-box live headset, or WoW campaign.
What's worse, if by some miricle we are actually able to put down our joypads long enough to reproduce, think what the children will be like! Do we really need a second generation of socially-inept, fried chicken eating morons who are bad at sports? I think not!

These people have got to be stopped before it's too late!

Dammit! And I had a pre-order too.  :(

Ah well, it'll give me time to actually finish Mass Effect, Fallout 3 and Fable 2. Not to mention all the subquests I've still gotta get done from FFXII......

Square always do this. Every single time! And yet evey time I find myself believing their deadlines. Why?

Sadly, its not that I intentionally rush in and do the rambo thing. I just seem to be unable to stealth my way anywhere, and then I panic and go into kill mode. :)

Thanks

The voice acting in the legacy of Kain series was pretty awesome! Michael Bell and Simon Templeman are like gods. heh heh. Also, it has the late, great Tony Jay, so .... yes.

However, I am a big fan of David Hayter's Solid Snake voice, and lately the Final Fantasy series games have being having voice acting of a very high standard. Ellen McLain did a terrific job on Portal.
A couple of my older favorites are Deckard Cain, (of course. lol "Stay awhile and listen...." ) and the Vampire the Masquerade: Bloodlines cast were very, very good.

I'm glad to see that more and more game developers seem to be investing in a high quality voice cast and voice track in their games these days. For me, in most games anyway, if the voice acting isn't right I just can't get into the game. Voice acting is a very specific skill, which doesn't get the credit it deserves. Two Worlds is an good example of what you end up with when you don't bother to cast talented actors who know what they are doing (appreantly the designers did it themselves. It's dire.). I just hope that video games don't get too bogged down on getting a 'celebrity' to do the voices. A lot of known screen actors are very good physically but just can't bring it all to their vocal performance. Also, a big part of getting lost in the game must surley involve you not thinking of Jack Bauer every time your commander shouts an order (for example).

Wow - forgive the ramble there. I loves me some good voice acting. :)

But Zombie Hunter..... you are probably not quite the n00b that I am, and therefore more able to rise to the challenge of difficult class in difficult mode. lol. I'm not gonna lie to you - I tend to die. A lot.

OK..... my play style on Eden Prime was as follows. Approach the enemies at a steady pace, occasionally ducking for cover and firing from behind that, but basically pressing the trigger button until everything was dead, then looting all I could. I was decrypting doors, but apparently all classes can do that, so I'm starting to not get the point of 'decryption' as a power.
So (and I appreciate that this is now off topic in the extreme, and I understand the problem of these 'what class should I play as' questions, since they depend on all manner of gaming style/preference factors, as well as personal opinion, so sorry about this), if I continue to play in this fashion (rush at the enemy headlong and shoot til they are dead) would I be better switching to vanguard or soldier?

Sorry, thanks for all the replies. :)

Well, maybe.... apparently engineer makes it hard to complete, and I'm taking it from your responses that infiltrator is not much better? lol. Maybe I should just go vanguard and start over......

See - I suck at decisions. lol

Anyway, thanks for the feedback.

Hey, I've just started a play through as an infiltrator, but a mate of mine told me that certain classes are unable to complete the game due to a glitch, but he couldn't remember which ones they were. Needless to say, I'd rather know now than 20 hours down the line, but google as I might I can't find any reference to this anywhere. Is it true? Does anybody know which classes (if any) I should avoid?

Thanks a lot.

I agree. VLC all the way. For video, that is. However, for music and keeping your library in order, I have to admit i-tunes is handy. It also rips very well.

Winamp is fine, but I always found its interface rather irritaing. However, I was alone in that form everyone I knew - they all used it and loved it!

You should maybe try a few and see what works for you. Most of them are free download, so you can try them, then lose the ones you don't like.
