I went and saw it at a premiere event which got me a code for WoW and free 30 days. Even just that was definitely worth it.
Overall, the movie to me as a non-Warcraft fan was a pile of bad dialogue, shallow characters and even shallower motivations, fan service moments that felt like pandering and really, at the end of the day, really cheesy. The special FX are great but because I had no attachment to any of the characters, it all felt hollow, like I was watching the world's priciest CGI tech demo. The end came abruptly, nothing was really explained and the movie just ended after a climax, with a larger war coming and yet no sequel announced. It was definitely watch-able but if it didn't have the Warcraft name, this would've been panned by everyone.
While watching it, I kept having one single though: They wasted some of the best 3D FX on a shitty script.
