It's been a while..

So long in fact, that I had forgotten I had already blogged! But let's consider this the first blog of the year..

I just recently bought a brand new PC (3.4Ghz, 16Gb RAM, 4Gb graphics, 750watt PSU...you get the picture!) After a long time of playing games on the bare minimum settings on a laptop...looking back I don't know how I survived so long! I've been playing Fallout: New Vegas and it seems to run better than the xbox 360 version! The best part was on the first load up when I had a message pop up saying "Graphics settings detected; set to Ultra High".

Anyway, playing New Vegas has got me thinking about an idea I had a long long time ago; Why not give Fallout (or Elder Scrolls for the matter) the option for online play? Perhaps have up to four people playing on the same world? I think it would add an amazing extra layer to the series!

Saying that, I'm sure I caught wind of a rumour that there is an Elder Scrolls MMO in the pipeline? (if anyone can verify that would be great!)

Waking up in New Vegas.

With Skyrim fast making it's way to our lives, I've found myself replaying through Oblivion in the hopes of getting more involved with the upcoming game when it's finally released. But I've realised from looking at videos that Skyrim is going to be massively different from Oblivion! I have found that Fallout: New Vegas seems to be a lot closer to what we can expect from Skyrim (minus the guns, post-apocalyptic wasteland and massive amounts of gambling...).

What has happened is that I've become totally fixated on New Vegas all over again. I just can't stop playing, and that is a feeling that I have not had about a game in a long long time! I can only hope the feeling comes back when Skyrim hits the shelves.

There's a first for everything.

Just requested my first page to be added to GiantBomb! Bit confusing to get there, and hopefully they'll add it. Let's just say it's for a unique weapon on Fallout:New Vegas. Exciting times!
