I decided to tune in to this one because I have the wrestling itch again, probably due to Lucha Underground on Netflix. As someone who hasn't watched wrestling in general for about a year now, I found the show entertaining overall. I agree with the sentiment that the show did not feel as long as it was. Neville/Aries should have been later on the card, they could of had a better match if they had a crowd to work with. Battle Royal was exactly what I was expecting out of a mash up match of mid-carders. Ambrose/Corbin was OK, Ambrose doesn't look like he's evolved at all as a character to me. AJ/Shane was a good match to watch, AJ is clearly on another level and Shane did better than I remember last year. Not to take away from the match, but AJ deserves more. KO (another guy who also deserves more) and Jericho. It was a fine match, I like KO's story telling in the ring between the moves. This felt like a consolation prize for him. Hopefully he pulls out the Canadian Championship to replace the US one on RAW, lol. Women's 4-way was good, Nice to see Bayley beat Flair. I would of been ok with a Nia Jax win as well. Decent Ladder match for the Tag titles. The Hardy's are sloppy and didn't need to win this. Miz/Maryse should have won, but we can't have Super Cena and signifigant other lose at wrestlemania to Miz again. They could have spun this as a stealing of the spotlight (as someone above suggested). No surprise here as to the quality of match and outcome. Seth/HHH was good, maybe a little drawn out, with no real high spot I can remember. Bray/Orton was good. I was trying to wrangle kids to bed so I missed part of it. Why did Orton win? Is Bray ever going to get the respect he deserves. He is a great performer all around yet here he is, losing in the match that matters again. Brock/Goldberg was exactly the garbage I expected it to be. Vince couldn't have his boy lose to a WCW main eventer at wrestlemania. Also, Why was this for a title? Same old WWE, thinking I'm tuning in for these over the hill good for nothings. They both suck. The next women's match seemed a bit scattered and disorganized. A below average match that seemed rushed. Are these considered the 'B' team women? Also Becky 'Zero Dawn' Lynch. The Taker/Reigns match was awful. The ending could have had some gravitas if it weren't for all the botches throughout the match. Taker should have stopped 5 years ago, arguably more. I was a huge Taker fan for most of his career, but these passed years that he has been nothing more than a 3 match a year guy have, in my opinion, left a tarnish on an otherwise great career.
Now that I have looked back on it, I feel it was a good show overall. Nothing stands out to me as a high note, no match was spectacular. A solid B+ show in my eyes. Not disappointed I tuned in but also nothing to make me want to watch anymore of WWE for a while.
NXT was great though, I might have to start watching that again.
