Awesome series, but Zhang didn't die! Or at least didn't die from the explosion. There are a few frames where he has disappeared just before the blast so... maybe teleported away? Successful campaign though to be sure!

I remember last year coming across a 'board game night' the Thursday of PAX in the Sheraton. Is that a regular thing on the Eve of PAX or just a strange happenstance? Haven't been able to find anything official but have seasoned veterans seen that as a regular thing?

Squad 13 REPRESENT : ) Was a lot of fun participating in those games.

I'll pull the curtain down and say 3 of us in #13 were part of the Unofficial GBC Pubg Discord group (Link in the forums!) and had some playtime together. Good group for when you're looking to Squad up!

I believe those "Unknown Objects" are asteroids. NASA approached Squad and asked them to add them and make it possible to pull them into Kerbin's orbit for study (about the same time NASA sent out probes to do the same thing in real life)

CONGRATS GANG! As a little space fact - the Apollo 14 mission was in flight today 45 years ago (at the time of writing they'd still be en route back to Earth hoping for a safe reentry on Feb 9th)!

So glad this series is a thing and highlights how challenging space flight is! Excited for the upcoming rescue attempts!

Vinny, Alex, & Austin - Welcome to the second greatest challenge of KSP... You made one ring around Kerbal now you understand the enormity of the challenge of getting TWO rings to match around Kerbal - at least you're not trying to connect the two (though I did hear 'Space Station' at the end of video)

I'm loving this series and the team's creativity : )

Two bits of advice...

There were some points where Alex and Austin seemed to want to point the ship to Kerbal to return home. While is TECHNICALLY POSSIBLE there are easier ways...

Notice when going to the Mun, the opposite side is the one that grows. During the "RCS boost" section the opposite side shrank. Why not try that same maneuver from the farther side?

-----------------------------------------------------------

Other bit, is after achieving Kerbin orbit and before the 'Mun Maneuver' - When you mark something as a target you can see an ASCENDING NODE and DESCENDING NODE -> these are the best points to make purple maneuvers to make your orbit and the target's line up on the same 'plane' and if done closer to planet costs less fuel

^- This will be a BIG help with trying to rescue the stranded kerbals

a Loop / Cycle I really really enjoy(ed) is the act of reloading as a form of anticipation? Most notably with Half Life 1.

I guess this goes into the meta loop with the Half Life series bouncing back and forth from quiet puzzle / exploration to frantic firefight, but you get a feel for when the quiet is about to stop - be it a corner with soldiers talking or boarding an elevator that slowly moves. Going through each weapon I had and checking / reloading it acted as sort of a hype booster and very few games have that these days either in favor of presenting the player with an already reloaded gun or having a very limited set of weapons.

This can also sort of be seen with the Metro series and their Frankenstein guns but falls short for me due to only being able to carry 2-3, and their level design seems slightly reigned in if only for budget reasons.
