So, I cooked part of my finger today.

I don't know how many people work or have worked in a kitchen but we all know burns happen whether you're a professional or an amateur.  Well today I was sliding a tray of cabbage piggies into an electric warming oven and burnt part of my pointer finger.  At first was was confused as hell because in my four years of working in a kitchen I've never had actual smoke come off of a burn.  This is when I realized I cooked myself.  See, I burned myself on the element as it was red hot and cooked a few layers of skin off of myself.

So I did what any man would do, I tasted part of my cooked flesh and it did not taste good.  It tasted like burnt hair smells.  The strangest part is that it does not hurt.  Not even when I put hot water on it.  This has me concerned and I'm think about going to the doctor because of it.
