Hoo boy that voice acting for Gary. It's the equivalent of some bad Japanese stereotype from an 80's cartoon. Couldn't spring for an actual foreign actor for once?

Vinny: "...in our household it was deemed that you do not get rewarded for being a good person..."

Alex: "That bears out in society, yes."

Brutal, just brutal.

Still have no idea how police can see through my walls. I click every time.

This image triggered some repressed memory in my brain.

We must have had a BBC Micro at my school, since this memory is squirreled away as one of my earliest computer experiences.

Bummed that I can't see your Extra Life archive due to some spurious-looking copyright claim. :(

Always a pleasure to read Brad's writing. There's a lot less of it these days, and that probably makes me appreciate it more. Fantastically written list.

Goddamn Tokyo Banana, everyone always asks for it whenever I go to Tokyo and there are so many better souvenir sweets. I mean, it makes sense for this feature, but within Japan the obsession is just odd.

Even that markup gave me a chuckle.

Uppercase tags, table-based layout, attribute styles. It's only missing the <blink> tag, and that's probably because it doesn't work anymore. That being said, I think it's kind of amazing that modern browsers will render this stuff the same as they ever did.

Bet this performs better than any of your modern "static sites".

This doesn't come across in the video at all, but as someone who saw this in person at TGS, Sony Japan have to be congratulated for having a woman present on stage dressed as a normal person, and not entirely as eye-candy. Seriously, Sony was basically the only major booth without old-E3-style booth-babes on display and handing out stuff.
