Hey, everyone

I've been playing For Honor on & off since launch on PS4. I still enjoy it very much, & it's only gotten better over time, but it's more fun playing with friends, & the learning curve is daunting for new players.

I just wanted to extend an open invitation for anyone who wants to group up or learn the ropes on PS4. They've promised new content at least through the end of the year, so I'll likely be playing into 2020. Feel free to reply in this thread or PM me if you'd like to smash some heads together, or if you have any questions about the game.

Friend of the site Eric Pope has announced dedicated servers on Xbone & PS4 Today! PC has had them for about 2 weeks. In celebration, I want the GB community to get involved in the revival. It's a difficult game to just hop into fresh at this point, but I want this thread to be a hub for mentorship, training, finding partners for duels & 2v2s, finding groups for 4v4s, & maybe even a few community tournaments(!?)

I don't know how big the GB community in these games is, but I vote for Absolver or For Honor. They're two cool fighting games with unique mechanics that I think would be fun to both watch & participate in.

This is a wonderful observation, & will probably push me to finally play PoE.

If you rescue certain Kodamas you can ask for their blessing to increase the drop rate of elixers, but what you're likely noticing is the extras you sometimes get when you offer gear at the shrine. If you pay attention you'll notice that you also receive small spirit stones, blessed water, etc. on occasion.

Hi, all. Just a reminder that the PS4 Alpha demo runs through the 5th, & unlocks an exclusive item in the full game if you beat the first boss, so get cracking while you can!

Been playing for about 45 minutes, & so far the game is just brutal. I think I have a handle on most of the systems at this point, but am still pretty confused about the Ki Pulse. It sometimes procs during stance changes or dodges, but I struggle to do it consistently & am not really sure what it actually does...

Don't know how I feel about the extreme weapon/armor degradation. I'm finding new gear & repair items regularly, so it's not a game-breaking issue, but it adds a layer of micromanagement that I'm not very fond of.

I also have mixed feelings about the non-strafing lockon camera. I openly disliked it at first, but have come to find it pretty helpful in group fights. Would love to maybe see an options menu toggle in the future.

I'm pretty far into the game; just unlocked the northern half of the map, about to go get my V8. So far into the game I haven't found a way to drift or powerslide. There is no handbrake as far as I can tell, & the standard brake tends to bring you to a full stop instead of sending you skidding across the dirt. The only somewhat consistent maneuver I've found so far is to let of the gas entirely at high speeds and then tap the brake, though this can easily spin you out or fail if you're not going fast enough. Am I alone in sorely missing some kind of drifting functionality, or is there some essential mechanic I'm missing?
