For video games I would have to say:

Super Metroid

Mario World

Mario Galaxy 2

Majoras Mask

FFVI

Chrono Trigger

Mario RPG

Mother 3

Viewtiful Joe.

I would struggle to give a good justification, due to the previously discussed difficulty in defining what a masterpiece is, but the are what come to mind.

Despite being a huge MGS fan I would certainly not call MGS2 a masterpiece purely for the fact that it's an unfinished game and it's themes miss the mark for the majority of people that play it.

3 is as close as that series gets to a masterpiece IMO.

@stordoff: I remember when the space for hats first appeared on the weapon equip screen people were really worried that it was a new thing that would ruin balance. Then as soon as they found out it was just cosmetic people went mad over them. I didn't used to get get through a game without someone offering to buy my Sam and Max bunny ears. I think this was even before the steam marketplace launched.

Watched Tokyo Drift for the first time with the GB commentary.

Was pretty much what I expected, cool action, dumb story, but as a fan of drifting it was probably had the most interesting driving scenes of any of them so far (have been watching them in order).

6/10.

P.S May have lost points due to me getting bugged by Jeff's insistence that you need a front wheel drive car to drift.

Does upgrading from Win7 Pro to Win10 really have much of an impact on performance?

As someone who hadn't really followed games news, or done any PC gaming, since 2011 (Funilly enough the year portal 2 came out), until early this year what is the communities general feelings towards valve now?

I remember that back when I was keeping up with news Valve could do no wrong, making great games and Steam was seen as a great marketplace, I didn't even really hear people complaining about TF2 hats.

Now it just seems they've got lazy, and to be fair, I have no interest in MOBAs or E sports so I have no idea how much effort it takes to keep DOTA balanced and profitable, but surely it can't take up so much of their time that all they can come up with to prove they're still making games is a CCG?

That and the complete lack of quality control on Steam just make it seem like they're resting on their laurels now they've got a couple of constant profitable revenue streams.

tl;dr: I want a new half life.

@dave_tacitus: I think I might try that one out as if nothing else it's a cheaper way of finding out if I like this sort of thing. The left handed comment is slightly ironic for me as mouse and keyboard is one of the two things I do right handed (the other being mini golf).

I have a gaming laptop and sometime I like to plug it into the TV to play on the big screen while sat in a comfy chair. Only problem is my cheap wireless Microsoft keyboard is ludicrously uncomfortable for playing games, due to it having wierdly sized keys, also it's probably not especially responsive.

I was thinking about getting a gaming keyboard but when I started browsing Logitechs Keyboard section I noticed the G13 "gameboard":.

Now I'd seen things like this before but had completely forgotten they existed and it occured to me that this may be a good compromise, as it would be far more ergonomic than my current keyboard, but not as bulky as a fully sized keyboard (which being for a laptop I would have to pack away after each use, whereas one of these I could probably fit in my laptop bag).

So my question is really, does anyone use one of these (or indeed a different companies version) and are they actually any good or just a bit of a gimmick?

Oh and a more specific question would be if anyone knows how long the cable is, although I could probably get a USB extention lead if that was an issue.

Any comments appreciated.

Both, my commute time over a week generally lasts exactly long enough that I can get through both and Shift-F1.
