For me it's Portal. The song of course, but also the visuals are nice.

Football (Soccer)

Cricket

Heavyweight Boxing (big events only)

WWE (Royal Rumble and Wrestlemania only)

Olympics (excited by most sports)

I've had phases watching

Basketball, hockey, baseball, and F1.

I like a lot of sports but 99% of the time I'm watching English Football.

Coming from a launch Xbox One, the Series S has felt incredibly modern to me since the day I bought it (Day 1). I'm a 1080p TV owner with ZERO interest in upgrading to 4K whilst my current TV is still working, and a game pass subscriber. The S is all I need, and unless my TV breaks, will be all I need this generation.

Reasons for the upgrade:

Game Pass: it speaks for itself as you explain in the OP.

Quick Resume: Don't overlook this feature, it's wonderful and to this day feels truly next gen.

Size: Its small and cute if that's your thing. Shockingly small, and whisper quiet too.

If you play on a 4K TV, then graphically it may not feel like an upgrade from your PS4 Pro, but everything else about how snappy it is will.

I added an external 2TB SSD to my Series S to solve the storage issue. Some games need to be on the internal SSD to be played, but the majority of games (for now) will boot from the external, or you can transfer between the two which is quick.

Whilst Forza / Horizon gives me all the driving fix I need, I'd definitely be interested in a new Burnout. Much more than I'd care about Need for Speed anyway. :P

So after updating my bios (never done that before but it was a smooth process). The TPM options appeared in my bios where they weren't before the update.

Motherboard is an MSI H170 Gaming M3

However, it seems my processor isn't new enough (6th Gen i5 6600). Hopefully that won't be a hard requirement. If it is, I'll stick with Win10. No way I'm buying a new pc for the foreseeable.

I find that once I get going with a game, I'll complete it. I drop games in the first 25% of progression quite often, but there comes a point where I decide I'm going all the way no matter what.

Having said that I don't play long games. I look at hltb often and if it's over 15 hours, I'm wary, if it's over 20 there's little to no chance I'll even start it.

Gamepass is my friend. Haven't bought a game since RDR 2. ( Which I'm aware is over 20 hours, and is the exception that proves the rule.)

I've owned an Series S since day 1. I love it. It's truly next gen and will see me through the next handful of years I'm sure.

However, I'm on a 1080p TV with no interest in upgrading to 4K so resolution means nothing to me.

I have a 1gb SSD usb 3 as additional space which is fine for back compat stuff. Transfer between the internal and external drives is quick. Quick resume is a phenomenal feature.

I'd recommend it, providing your not dead set on cutting edge resolution. Of course a series X is better, but if you go for an S, you won't feel your a second class citizen outside of resolution on a 4K TV.

Really comes down to your preferences, but it feels next gen to me.
