@clapmaster: you and theonewhoplays both have total opposite takes so much so that it explains how hard it is to please everyone. LOL. Souls are great games but making a sequel with more to do would alienate one person and please another. I wonder how people make sequels work sometimes.

*Scroll down to the bottom to make a comment*. Where's the Death Stranding PC QL? Oh sorry, I forgot the team has an issue with Hideo Kojima.

They never really liked that game. heck even before release you can see them change on it in trailer comments. Its a weird game but not the type of weird GB likes. Its kinda pretentious weird like it's trying to teach or show off what it's telling while winking at you that you're smart for getting it. The game won't hit for most but I'm happy when it does. GB just thought it was bad...that said some on staff said its fine to good in places so there's that. IMO Still think the walking simulator take was lazy by comments from fans.

@therealturk: For all the talk that he NEEEDS something fast-paced yadda yadda play sekiro. I agree that he'd be better off enjoying lore-based fun and just doing dark souls up to dark souls 3. Hell have a good time now that he has patterns and feel of harder games down. Sekiro already has been beaten by someone on site who was great at explaining why it was good come goty. Ben. These souls games never get a fair shake cause difficulty and length and methodical gameplay feeling clunky to uninitiated on the site. It would be nice to have it discussed come goty for once by someone besides the few who force themselves through popular games not so in the GB wheelhouse like witcher 3 was. I expect goty this year will be talk of tons of games the crew got into during cov so much so i hope they include a best games you played during cov list. or something. Otherwise Goty is already settled with instant wins and a lack of new games. Goty = 2077, ghost of tushima, mario, doom eternal, animal crossing, Last of us 2, ori, warzone, ff7, halflife, etc.

If he really NEEEDED to play fast paced he wouldnt be playing souls like games. Fast paced, tight controls, etc, he would be on Bayonetta, transformers devastation, devil may cry 5, etc. He wants souls and souls at its heart is dark souls 1-3.

Personally, if Jan got the boss down to the point just one hit would kill it or something (not sure haven't watched.) then i count it as a win solo enough that summoning didn't matter. I care less about the idea of winning the boss than knowing I new the patterns got through all of them and all that mattered was me dodging and working through the perfect pattern I knew from repetition. At that point, it's just repetitive and stress for no reason when I go in have a bad run and get 1/3 health vs the time i get through 99/100 and get one-shotted for all my health. But I also have the same idea with just leveling via some cheat (to a basic 10+ or so you'd get in hours of play) vs grinding for hours vs grinding with some in-game fastest to 100,000 in a 10-minute method. At some point your just saving time that you'd be doing anyway but others call it cheating. Sometimes you play the game the way you want for the most fun cause the grindy nature takes away from it. I know the last bosses of this game i was under-leveled and grinded and became over-leveled so bosses were a breeze. I didn't threat as long as I knew I dodged and learned patterns enough that the few mistakes I made and hits I did should have defeated the boss overlooking lame hit sponge hp and my one or two hit hp.

The point, as long as he got the fell down I count it. I still have two bosses to go back and take on cause i never got the feel down and just summoned to get it over with as I was under-leveled at the time and found grinding annoying that early as enemies were sponges with low reward (electric boss) or I just wanted to avoid backtracking if I lost. I'll count that as bad XD.

Rosolina is peach's daughter from another timeline...think universe hopping in avengers. The ending gives away that the entire universe is reset and places her in Mario world canon that's why the storybook isn't her life anymore and her new life includes hanging with the squad and going to parties or kart racing. She also got weaker after reset so she isn't cosmic powerful, instead shes ok...so Mario can still save the world instead of her just wishing away issues lol.

PS. still hope the crew just says F it at years end and does GOTY including games they played this year that they finally came back to finishing or trying so games like dragons dogma or mario galaxy can get their fair shake or bloodborne. Longer games that work well under less deadlines and/or when not against AAA open world game number 299 that gets most people's attention. XD. I atleast hope they dont postpone GOTY since I assume most will to wait till new games come out. Imagine if Oscars didnt postpone....Sonic the Hedgehog movie would get...nominated XD.

Man this game has some bullshit attack tracking.... so many times you've dodged after the attack has begun and he still tracks you and hits..

Souls games benefit people who aren't super twitch gamers or not ironically into souls. I made my friend play the final boss in dark souls 1 with all havel armor and max flask with black knight halberd and fire intensity/rock body. He beat it first try. just told him how to dodge and drink every few seconds. He also new to attack and move around obviously. Surprisingly, the tracking stops near the time you're just about to move so it can get experienced or constant fear roll dodgers. The reason most people do better at bosses after they won. Once you not afraid you do calmer and well-timed dodges. Since my friend knew nothing about the game and treated it like whatever, he dodged just in time and barely got hurt. Obviously all my stats boost help but that's just so the fight didn't take ages.
